SCENE 1: Later the same night…
[ Kyle walks up to a back door.
Showing the bouncer his ID,
he enters & finds a seat at
the bar. ]
“What kind of place is this?”
[ He wonders looking around
& seeing mainly women
waiting in the audience. ]
[A female bartender spots
Kyle sitting alone. ]
“Can I get you a drink?”
KYLE: Yes please.
A Corona.
[ She takes the top off &
hands it to him. ]
KYLE: Thanks.
My friend
asked me here.
I have
no idea why.
BARTENDER: What’s his name?
KYLE: Marty, why?
BARTENDER: You really don’t know.
KYLE: Know what?
[ She smiles at him & walks
away. ]
[ Suddenly the room goes dark
except for a blue spotlight on
the stage. ]
“Ladies, put your hands
together for Party Marty!“
KYLE: Oh my god.
SCENE 2: In Weis’
bedroom.
[ Joh walks in, sitting down
on the bed. ]
WEIS: I thought I said not
to wake me! I’m
still
totally freaked out
about last night.
JOH: Well, I
don’t think
Trey called the cops, if
that’s your concern.
How did he seem when
you walked away?
WEIS: I couldn’t bare to look.
His bragging pissed me
off to no end though.
JOH: Yeah, didn’t that happen
with Landyn also? I mean,
you broke up with him
pretty randomly over a
fight, right?
WEIS: Okay, what does that
have to do with anything?
JOH: I’m just saying, you’re
almost eighteen.
Maybe
its time to man up and
apologize for once.
You’re not always right.
[ Joh leaves the room & Weis
buries himself underneath
the covers. ]
SCENE 3: At TA, In Mark’s
office.
[ Mark is seated at the desk &
Hahn is standing facing him. ]
HAHN: So the commercial is
set to play on all screens
once an hour now.
MARK: That’s awesome.
Thanks bud.
[ Mark is searching through
his desk drawer. ]
HAHN: Sure thing.
You
lose something?
MARK: Besides my mind.
Yeah, I can’t seem to
locate my spare store
keys.
Hopefully they turn up
before the store shuts
down tonight for waxing.
[ Suddenly there’s a knock on
the door & Landyn enters. ]
MARK: Wow, you’re early.
For a change.
[ Landyn smiles. ]
LANDYN: Yeah, we should
go over what you want me
to say at the presentation.
HAHN: Cool. See you two later.
SCENE 4: At Kyle’s
apartment.
[ Kyle is sitting on the couch
with Marty at the other end
counting his money. ]
MARTY: 371, 372…Three
hundred seventy-three
dollars.
KYLE: In one night?
Screw you chico
I can’t even make that
in a week.
MARTY: Well, you’re
in the wrong industry
my friend.
KYLE: Yeah, I see.
MARTY: Let’s go get food.
[ Marty starts to get up. ]
KYLE: Wait, a second. While
you we’re on stage I got
a strange invite from this
older woman.
[ Kyle hands him a note.
Marty reads it & smirks. ]
MARTY: Yeah, that was
my boss. She
wants you
to audition, I guess.
Hilarious, right?
[ Marty begins to laugh
& Kyle just stares at him. ]
SCENE 5: Back at Joh
& Weis’. . .
[ Weis finally comes
downstairs. ]
JOH: Hey, you had tons of mail.
Something from school came.
[ Weis sits down on the couch
& starts reading a letter. ]
“Dear Weis L Kardin, Although you
placed 2nd to the Valedictorian,
at 17 and nine months, you are
the youngest student to walk
at a MSCC graduation.”
JOH: That’s pretty cool.
WEIS: Yeah, I guess. Wait,
there’s more. . .
They want me to give
tomorrow’s speech!
JOH: See, you should really
check the box more often.
WEIS: Trey’s ignoring me.
The last thing I wanna do
tonight is write a speech.
JOH: Then don’t. I invited
some people over.
[ They hear a car horn outside.
Soon Stuu & Tiesun have
joined them in the living room. ]
JOH: So, you’re the girl from
the video?
TIESUN: That’s me.
STUU: So guess who got
Valedictorian. This guy!
[ Weis looks away, Joh stays quiet. ]
SCENE 6: Still at
Kyle's. . .
[ Marty is almost knocked out
when Kyle approaches him. ]
MARTY: Good shower?
KYLE: Yeah, I’ve had a lot of
time to think.
MARTY: Passing
out for work
soon?
KYLE: No, because I decided
I’m not going back.
[ Marty sits up in surprise. ]
MARTY: What are you talking
about loco?
KYLE: I’m barely paying bills.
I’ll never advance at TA.
That’s why I’m taking your
bosses offer.
[ Meanwhile, Larrie & Jeszyca
are in their living room talking. ]
JESZYCA: I can’t believe you we’re
tied up for three hours all for
some sex fantasy.
LARRIE: Hey, don’t hate. Yeah,
LARRIE: Hey, don’t hate. Yeah,
I didn’t expect her to take it
that far. But
once we got
going it turned out great.
Trust me, there was a very
happy ending.
JESZYCA: Gross!
SCENE 7: The next
morning
at MSCC
Graduation.
[ The crowd applauds & Weis
exits the stage. As the crowd
dispearses, he sees a familiar
face. ]
WEIS: Hey, thanks for coming.
Didn’t think you noticed my
missed calls.
I’m sorry I lost my mind.
I wish we could go back
to the way things we’re.
[ Trey hands him a paper. ]
WEIS: Is this your new number?
TREY: No, my aunt is a counselor.
I think you should give her a
call. It would be good for you.
WEIS: Wait, what? Hold on.
TREY: Goodbye Weis.
[ Across town, Jeszyca wakes
up to a knock on her door.
She sees Ski on the other
side. ]
[ 5 minutes later she comes
back inside as Larrie comes
out of his room. ]
LARRIE: Who was that?
JESZYCA: That was Ski.
They found out about
everything.
And I’m fired.
