Pushin' It Part 2

SCENE 1:

[ Joh is awaken by a bright light & his

roommate standing over the bed. ]

LEEVIGH: Morning sunshine.

Time to get those legs movin’.

JOH: You’re kidding, right?  My

head is still reeling from last

night.

LEEVIGH: Yeah, Weis told me

you were in rare form.

[ Joh rolls over & cracks a smile. ]

LEEVIGH: But anyways, get your butt

up.  Its payment for my last few

beers you swiped.

JOH: Oh right.  Here I come.

[ Running outside, they come

to a stop at a street corner. ]

JOH: Yeah, I never should

have listened to Airynn.

But honestly I didn’t do

anything that wild.

Besides being at work,

I don’t see the big deal.

    LEEVIGH: You’re acting

out because all you’ve

known is senseless rules.

Have fun if you want but

I’m warning you now man.

You’re letting your reputation

go down the drain. 

SCENE 2:

At TA, late afternoon.

[ Amber is getting ready

to start when Syria comes

into the front break room. ]

AMBER: Hey, you look dazzling.

Going somewhere special

tonight?

SYRIA: Thank you. And yes,

my husband is taking me

salsa dancing.

AMBER: Wow, it’s nice to

see there’s men who still

do things like that. 

SYRIA: I know. Well, I better

get going. Don’t wanna be

late.

And by the way, Dym told me

about you and his accidental

rendezvous at the hotel. 

[ Amber starts to speak but is cut off. ]

SYRIA: Just don’t get any ideas.

[ Syria leaves, & Mark enters. ]

MARK: Everything good?

AMBER: Never better.

MARK: Great!  We’re starting the

personal shopper promo tomorrow.

I need you to give these free

trials away to the customers. 

SCENE 3:

Outside a local church.

[ Monica is walking around

talking to people when an

older women approaches

her. ]

MONICA: Hey, Mrs. Berry.

Nice service, wasn’t it?

MRS.BERRY: It was.  I didn’t

see your boyfriend around

today.

MONICA: Yeah, he worked

late last night.  He’ll be here

next week.

MRS.BERRY: Sure, I can imagine

what he was probably up to.

Reminds me I’ve been

meaning to show you

something. 

[ She takes out a picture

& hands it to Monica. Its

of Kyle close to another

women. ]

MONICA: Where did you get

this?

MRS.BERRY: It was left on my car

when I was dining downtown.

Some promo but if I were you,

I’d keep a close eye on him.

MONICA: Yeah, thanks.

SCENE 4:

Downtown, the Police Station.

[ Joh walks up to a women seated

behind glass. ]

JOH: Hey, I’m Johsef Adona.

I got called in for some

questioning, I guess.

WOMAN: Sure, one moment.

[ The door buzzes open & Joh

is escorted into a room with

an officer. ]

JOH: Okay, what is going on

here?

OFFICER: Sit down.

[ Joh is shocked to see

pictures of his full body

from the back on the table. ]

OFFICER: You wanna explain

these to me?

JOH: Sorry sir.  It was just meant

to be a dumb dare.

OFFICER: Well, a little girl saw

you so this becomes more serious.

JOH: So what now? Are you

writing me some type of

indecent exposure ticket?

OFFICER: That’s the least of your

concerns right now.  Her mom

is pressing charges.  She’s trying to

get you put on a sexual offender

list. 

SCENE 5:

At Monica’s house.

[ Home from church now,

she sits the picture on the

table and makes a phone

call. ]

“Hey Monica.”

MONICA: Hey, you have a

second to talk.  I need to

ask you something.

MARTY: Sure, what about?

MONICA: It’s Kyle.  I was

shown a picture of him

today and he was very

close, almost kissing

some woman.

I don’t know what to

think.

MARTY: Yeah, sorry about

that.  I tried to talk Kyle out
of it. Its just promotion for
our Halloween party next 
week.

Our boss can get a little
carried away.

MONICA: Yes, I see. 

MARTY: But don’t worry Kyle

is constantly telling people

about you at work.

He would never cheat. Okay?

SCENE 6:

Outside Joh’s place.

[ Joh is sitting in his car,

stunned by what he just

found out.  Startled, his

phone rings. ]

JOH: Hey stranger.

STUU: Hey, I heard your

having a bad time.

Wanted to make sure

you we’re alright.

[ Silence on the line. ]

STUU: You there?

JOH: Yeah, sorry.  I can’t

believe this crazy women

is acting like that.  As if

seeing my butt traumatized

her little girl or something.

STUU: That’s pretty serious,

man.  I was sure you would

just get fined.    

JOH: I got a ticket.  But now

I’m waiting out the court date

to decide.

I can’t believe this crap!

Marisa’s for sure going

to dump me now.

STUU: You don’t know that.

Maybe the judge will

see your side.

JOH: Right. In a matter of a

a few days. I have managed

to ruin my entire life.

SCENE 7:

[ At home, Monica is on the

phone. ]

MONICA: That’s not the point!

You should have told me you

would be doing these intimate

photos.

Not only that, but you insisted.

KYLE: I’m sorry.  I just wanted

the extra money.  That’s it.

I didn’t think you would care.

They’re just pictures.

MONICA: For me to find out

from someone at church.

Was does that say about

our relationship?

KYLE: It was just for work.

I’m here for you.  I wish

you would believe me. 

[ Monica doesn’t speak. ]

MONICA: I think we need

KYLE: Don’t say it.

MONICA: Kyle, I think you

should start sleeping at

your place again.  You can

get you stuff in the morning.

KYLE: Why?

MONICA: I need some time

to think.  I’m not sure this

relationship is working.

[ The line goes dead. ]
