At The Start

　

"Just help me to the car. Fast!"

 

[ Busy waiting area, Jai sits alone.

The minutes on the clock draining

by. Without any contact for hours

his mind can't help but wander to-

ward the worst possible scenario. ]

 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

[ Parked & safely home now. Jai hands

over the keys to A'myan who is slowly

prepping himself to get out. ]

　

 

JAI: Maybe you should consider

quitting. There's plenty of other

things we could focus on our

time on. It's almost summer.

　

 

"For the last time, it wasn't how

much I did. It was that fake

ass supplier.

　

 

I'll let him know. Trust me."

　

[ The car door slams. Window

still down. ]

　

 

"Are you coming in?"

　

A Few Weeks Later. | TACare.

 

　

[ Jai is pacing around his shared

office when a video call comes

through on his computer. ]

　

MARK: The DM will be here soon.

Just making sure you don't want

me to meet you over there.

　

[ Jai sits down.]

　

JAI: I've had two school free

weeks to prepare for this. And

I've basically been here the

entire time.

　

I got this Dad.

　

[ Later on, there's a knock on

Mark's office door. ]

　

"Hey, I thought you were

stopping at Care first."

　

[ Jim enters the room. ]

　

JIM: I was. But first we need

to talk.

　

[ He shuts the door behind

them. ]

　

Front entrance. | Still at Care.

　

[ Stuu is playing with his daughter

Mila when he sees Jenni passing

by the door. ]

　

STUU: Hey. Do you have a minute?

JENNI: Sure. Hi Mila.

She can come in now if you want.

　

STUU: It's cool. I needed to ask

you a question anyway.

　

[ She sits down by Stuu. ]

　

JENNI: What's going on?

STUU: Has anyone besides me,

Weis, or my brother came around

for Mila?

JENNI: Of course not. She's only

cleared for you and Weis. What

would make you think that?

　

STUU: Just yesturday she started

saying words that reminded me

of my Dad.

　

[ Jenni is distracted when the District

Manager enters. ]

　

JENNI: Sorry I have to go. Good

morning Jim.

　

Across town. | Amber & Dyminic's.

 

　

[ Dyminic gets out & immediately is

at his wife's side, helping her out the

car.

Once she is steady, he goes to get his

newborn out of the back. ]

　

"Welcome home Dibur Stallion Jones."

　

AMBER: You think we went to far

with the name?

DYMINIC: It's perfect. And so are

you.

　

[ He kisses Amber on the cheek.

　

Now inside, they are sitting in the

living room & watching Baby Dibur. ]

　

DYMINIC: When are you due back to

work babe?

AMBER: Two more weeks. Honestly

I'm not sure if I'll be ready to leave

him. Maybe I should have taken

the extra time.

　

[ She states getting a random wide

eyed look from Dibur. ]

　

　

Middle Of The Day. | TACare.

　

SUNSHINE: Right now we're in the

process of hiring for the overnight

shifts.

　

[ Jim looks pleased. He walks over

to find Jai & Jenni's office.

　

Sunshine is inspecting the entrance

area when she sees an older man

leaning on the glass.

　

She walks towards but he notices

her shadow & leaves. ]

　

JENNI: Jim wants to go over numbers

with you before he goes.

　

[ Sunshine doesn't answer. ]

　

JENNI: Sunny? He's waiting.

　

SUNSHINE: Yeah. Be right there.

　

　

Late evening. | At Mark's.
 

[ Mark is in bed on the phone. ]

　

MARK: All three sides had good

reviews.

SKI: I knew they would. I bet Jai

and Jenni are thrilled.

　

MARK: You know what would be

exciting for me?

SKI: What's that?

MARK: If you we're here instead of

spending the night at TA.

　

SKI: I know. One day.

　

MARK: Jim is retiring at the end of

the year.

SKI: I see. And?

MARK: I got an offer to replace him.

SKI: That's awesome. Wait, why

don't you sound excited?

　

MARK: Because not only would I

have to give up my store but I would

no longer be able to own TACare.

　

I don't know what to do.

　

Late that night. | TheAisles.

　

[ Tiesun is standing at the self check

counter when Weis & Larrie
approach her. ]

　

TIESUN: Don't you two have some

work you could be doing?

　

[ Larrie looks at her as if he doesn't

know what she means. ]

　

LARRIE: Work, who does any of

that around here?

WEIS: Yeah. I did some working

out of my lungs before I walked

in.

　

TIESUN: Cute. But as you can see

from those loaded carts over there

　

I do actually have things to do.

　

[ She walks toward the door with

Larrie & Weis close behind.

　

The glass opens a few feet away

& a masked person enters, gun

pointed in front of him. ]

　

"Hey! Get over here & lock these

doors. Now."

　

[ Tiesun is stunned. She attempts

to move as the gun is staring her

down. Larrie gets in front &

grabs the key from her. ]

　

LARRIE: Here.

　

"Get over there. And don't

speak."

   

Them vs. Me vs. Us

Scene One:

[ Ski walks into the house &

sees Jai passed out on the

couch. ]

"Hey! You know it's 7:30."

[ Jai sits up fast, disoriented. ]

JAI: Shit.  

SKI: Are you alright? I feel

like we haven't talked in

awhile. You're always dis-

appearing at night.

JAI: Yeah I'm fine.  We'll

catch up later I promise.

Can you text Jenni for 

me?  I'll be there in an

hour.

SKI: Sure bud.

[ Jai grabs his stuff & heads

for the bathroom. ]

[ Much later; Ski joins Amber,

Jeszyca, & Hithe at the Cafe

across from TA. ]

"You ready for your fake

camping trip?"

[ Amber smiles, Hithe starts to

laugh a little. ]

SKI: Hey. We're not spending all

our time in the RV.  

HITHE: Give him credit.  This is

probably the most outdoorsy

thing he's ever done.

[ Ski goes silent for a moment

thinking about how Jai was

earlier. ]

AMBER: How's everything going

at home?  I heard that Jenni and

Jai are doing well at Care now.

SKI: Yeah.  I'm not sure how Jai

is really handling it. He has

school also.  I mean we weren't

wrong letting him do both. Were

we?

JESZYCA: Everyone gets tired and

runs late.

HITHE: Unless it gets worse.  I

wouldn't worry about it.  Jai

would tell you if he didn't

think he could handle it.

AMBER: Yeah.  I don't see a pro-

blem.

[ The waiter returns to take

their orders. ]

Scene Two:

[ Charles is standing up to the

counter waiting for his wallet

to be returned to him.

A flash of the past three months

he's spent locked away over take

him until he realizes the clerk is

staring, waiting for him to move. ]

"Thank you."

[ As the door shuts & locks behind

him, Charles notices his friends

waiting in the parking lot. ]

CHARLES: I didn't think anyone

would come.

[ They come closer. ]

RICKY: You think we'd let you walk?

MAXX: Not when we've been counting

the days until we see you.  Why don't

we get something to eat?

CHARLES: Great.  Can we stop at my

place first so I can change?

[ Charles gets in the back & Maxx

heads out of the parking lot.

They turn right & Charles begins

to stare out the window. Cracking

the window, he gasp enjoying the

fresh air. ]

CHARLES: I should call Hahn.

[ Maxx turns down the music &

Ricky pretends not to hear him. ]

CHARLES: For some reason it's

not going through.  My phone

is on.  I already checked it.

MAXX: Yeah about that.  I don't

think you'll be hearing from

Hahn anymore.  And I wouldn't

try to contact him either.  

Sorry man.

Scene Three: The night after.

[ As the sun begins to set at

Mirror Lake.  Ski, Larrie, & Joh

are drinking beers & sitting on

chairs near the water. ]

SKI: Can't believe I've never

heard of this place before.

[ He smiles, behind his shades.

Replacing his empty glass. ]

JOH: Yeah. Nice find.  I'm sur-

prised your girl didn't wanna

come along.

LARRIE: I don't have a girl

anymore.

[ Ski sits up to speak. ]

LARRIE: And no I don't need

to talk about it.  Remember

this is meant be relaxing.

SKI: I agree.  No relationship

drama while were here.

JOH: Fine with me.  I didn't

ever have one.  

[ They start to laugh. ]

SKI: There is something kind

of personal I wanted to discuss

though.  

JOH: You're finally telling me

secrets.

[ He looks excited, getting closer. ]

SKI: Not exactly.  When I ask

you, I'll need your up front

and honest opinion, Okay?

LARRIE: Just say it already.

SKI: Do you think that I'm.

Scene Four:

[ Charles is sitting at the table

with Ricky & Maxx across from

him.  All three are sipping on

their milkshakes. ]

"So what exactly did Hahn say?"

RICKY: Pretty much that he didn't

want to hear from you.  Aside from

making sure your place was around

he's done.  

MAXX: Don't worry about it man.  You

got us.  

CHARLES: This doesn't make much sense

though.  He came in to see me every

week.

MAXX: Not everyone understands that

when you were seeing all those girls

you weren't in your right state of mind.

CHARLES: What is that suppose to 

mean?

I didn't force them to do anything.

[ Maxx takes a break.  Looking for the

words. ]

RICKY: We know that.

CHARLES: But Hahn doesn't. Of all

people he should know.  He should

know me.

MAXX: You can't make him though.

Just try to focus on what you do

have.

CHARLES: Yeah, what's that?  I'm 

tired of starting over.

Scene Five:

[ They continue their conversation in
-side while Larrie is preparing some
food. ]

JOH: Do I think you're shallow?

Well you're married and I don't
really see you checking out
guys.

SKI: I know.  I was just think-
ing the other day about my
choice of friends.
LARRIE: What about us?

[ He actually looks threatened. ]

SKI: Nothing about you per se.
It's me.  I'm attracted to every
single one of you.
JOH: Well thank you.

[ He smirks at Ski. ]

SKI: I think it's starting to really
affect my place as manager too.
LARRIE: Judging by the new hires
I saw last week, I dont think so.

[ He looks over at Joh for approval. ]

SKI: Weis hired them and that's
not really my point.  It just feels
wrong.  Maybe I should see some-
one about it.
LARRIE: Hey, if you need another
opinion I'll just tell you now. We're
all crazy.

SKI: Thanks.

[ He shrugs his shoulders, feeling
worse. ]


Scene Six:

"I thought you were leaving."

MAXX: Figured you might not
want to be alone tonight.

[ He waves & Ricky drives off. 

Back in Charles' living room. ]

MAXX: Fire up the system.

[ He pulls out a bottle of alcohol
& sits two glasses down on the
table. ]

CHARLES: Seriously?
MAXX: Yup.  That's what we're
doing.  

[ Charles watches as the drink
slowly fills each glass.

They both takes long sips. ]

MAXX: I know it's not easy losing
someone you've spent so much
time with.  Real people are hard
enough to find as it is.  That why
I'm gonna be here whenever you
want me to be.  
CHARLES: Thanks man but I'm not
going to cry over it.

MAXX: Focus on the game instead.

Just one more thing.  Promise me
you're not going back.

[ Charles looks up at Maxx. ]

CHARLES: I promise.

Season 7: Second Look (Preview)

Fallen Rise: Part 3 (A Tetralogy)

SCENE ONE :

Downtown, The Texi Mex.

[ Ski, his best man Hithe, &

groomsmen Larrie, Weis, &

Mark's brother Josh are 

eyeing over their menus. ]

"I think you picked the worst

place to eat before going 

out all night drinking."

[ Everyone looks up at Weis. ]

SKI: That's why we left a day

in between the wedding.

LARRIE: Good idea.  Gives

you some time to recover.

JOSH: I'm guessing that came

straight out of Mark's mouth.

[ Ski smiles, not seeing the 

stares that are coming at him

from across the table. ]

SKI: I'm ready when you are.

[ He puts down his menu. A few 

minutes later, a blonde wait-

ress in loud shoes saunters up

to the table. ]

JOSH: Can we get some beers

all around to start with?

[ He nods at the girl, pressing

out his lips while the guys

watch. ]

JOSH: Whatever you suggest

will be fine.  Thanks gorgeous.

[ She walks away. ]

JOSH: I'll have her number by

the end of the meal, just wait.

HITHE: Spoken like a true Simon.

SCENE TWO :

Magic Springs Prep School.

[ Trailyn, Jai, Kiilyn, Mairya,

Billy, Chais, & Little H arrive at 

the school.  After Chais parks,

they start walking toward

the back door. ]

"It's suppose to be open."

[ Everyone follows Jai & Trailyn,

walking slowly down the hall. ]

TRAILYN: I don't hear any music

and no ones here.

JAI: I know it's weird.  There

was all these responses online.

CHAIS: Well I at least want to

know who wasted our fucking

time.  

[ He picks up his speed toward

the Science classroom.  

They all enter into a barely lit

area as the door unknowlingly

locks behind them. ]

MAIRYA: Guys. Someone's there.

[ She points to a masked man

who is sitting down in front of

the room.  He immediately starts

to yell. ]

"Face the wall.  Hands in the air."

[ They all obey while Little H turns

around a little trying to get a peak

at the stranger. ]

"No one talk.  Just listen."

[ He walks down the line, making

sure everyone is looking in the

opposite direction. ]

"Just so you know I'm serious."

[ Shaking, he brings his hand up

up & points the gun at a statue.

They are stunned as it shatters

into pieces all around them. ]

SCENE THREE :

Later, at their 1st bar.

[ Hithe, Weis, & Larrie are all

out on the dance floor while

Ski is taking a break, leaning

up against the wall.

Josh comes over to him. ]

"Why are you so quiet?"

SKI: Just thinking.  With all

this planning and stuff.  This

is the first time I've had a 

moment to myself.

JOSH: I understand.  And

Mark isn't the easy person

to get along with.

[ Ski looks up at Josh. ]

SKI: What do you mean?

JOSH: Well you know, he

has some annoying habits.

And he always wants to

be right.  Anyway.

[ He hands Ski a shot off

the table next to him. ]

"After you."

[ After inhaling the liquor, Josh

leads Ski out on the dance 

floor.  The guys look on as he

starts to get a little too close. ]

SCENE FOUR :

Back in the classroom.

"It's Caleb"

[ Little H whispers over to

Chais who face is swept with

anger. ]

CHAIS: We know who is doing

this.  We're not dumb and 

when people find out.  You

will be screwed.

"I said. No talking.  All I am

is this huge problem to you.

My parents don't even know

I exist anymore.

Well if I'm no longer around.

Guess what?  Problem solved."

[ Little H hits the wall while

Mairya starts to cry.  Trailyn

speaks up.  ]

TRAILYN: Please don't do this.

KIILYN: Yeah man, it's not the

right way.

[ Jai stands there, shaken. ]

"I've made up my mind already."

[ In that moment, complete silence

is challenged by the sound of the

gun going off.  Everyone stands

there, too panicked to move. ]

SCENE FIVE :

[ Weis, Hithe, & Larrie are watch-

ing as Josh drunkingly moves

about over the dance floor. 

Ski is trailing behind him, trying

to avoid attention. ]

"Dude chill out."

JOSH: Sorry man. 

[ He stops dancing & faces Ski. ]

SKI: It's cool, I just don't want

to be kicked out of here.  

JOSH: You know I've never really

had a girlfriend.

SKI: You're joking.  As much as

you talk about woman.

JOSH: I'm serious.  Not one.  I

just sat back while my older

brothers got all the dates.

SKI: That really sucks. I'm

sorry.

[ He looks away but Josh hasn't

taken his glance off him. ]

"Let's go sit down."

[ Ski & Josh retreat to a back

bench by the bathroom.  Before

Ski can say anything, Josh is

leaning over him, eyes glazed.

He closes his eyes and starts

to move toward Ski. ]

SCENE SIX :

[ Scared, no one wants to turn

around until Little H finally gains

the courage.

He sees Caleb sitting on the

ground with the gun off to

the side.  H sits next to him

& he starts to cry.  One by

one everyone turns around. ]

LITTLE H: It's okay.  It's okay.

CHAIS: Where did you get a

gun from?

[ He comes over & the rest

stay back. ]

CALEB: I just found it, I swear.

I wasn't going to hurt any

of you.

[ He states, barely choking out

the words.]

TRAILYN: I believe him.

[ Trailyn & Mairya come over. ]

JAI: This is a little messed up

guys I'm sorry.  We're just going

to let it go.

[ He looks over at everyone

& the expression on Caleb's

face. ]

CHAIS: We need to agree.  Just

put the gun back wherever you

found it and we'll keep our mouths

shut. Okay?

[ Everyone agrees.  Caleb unlocks

the door & they leave. ]

C e n s o r e d

SCENE ONE :

Late evening, at Tiesun's apartment.

[ Tiesun & Stuu are spread out comforta-

bly in her living room while a scary 

movie is playing on the flat screen 

in front of them.

 Tiesun looks over realizing Stuu has

 now stopped watching. ]

TIESUN: If I need to put a no

cell policy on our marathon

nights, I'll do that Mister. 

STUU: Sorry I just can't believe

what some of my so-called

friends are saying online.

TIESUN: Is this about your post

from this morning?

[ She moves down to get a closer

look & they huddle. ]

STUU: Yes.  Like I need permission

to state my excitement that our

bosses can now get married.

TIESUN: After over three years its

about time.

[ She reads off Stuu's phone. ]

TIESUN: "Maybe you should keep

that to yourself bud.  Not every-

one cares."

  What a horrid thing to say. Who

is this?

STUU: My dad's lunatic brother.

Imagine had I put up pictures

of me and Weis.  This very

reaction is why I have yet

to tell my family jack squat.

TIESUN: Some people I guess.

I wish you weren't made to

feel like you had to stay all

hush hush.  It's really wrong.  

[ They focus back on the movie. ]

 

  [ Airynn is walking through the

store.  Heading toward the back

room, he locates Brian looking

over the grocery inventory. ]

BRIAN: Even on your days off I

still can't seem to get a break.

AIRYNN: Its your first shift by

yourself I just wanted to make

sure things we're under control.

BRIAN: Well I'm not on fire.

[ Airynn looks serious. ]

BRIAN: Come on man that was

three months ago.  This was

suppose to be a new start for

me.  I've even been to counsel

-ing suggested by pretty much

everyone so can you please let

it go now.

[ Brian shuffles past Airynn &

he follows him into the back

break room. They sit down. ]

AIRYNN: I'm sorry.  What we're

you doing back there anyway?

BRIAN: There's so many people

in the aisles right now its tough

for me to get through.  I was

attempting to straighten things

up back there.

AIRYNN: Cool Ski will like that.
I'm not trying to be a pest okay.
I'll just see you after your
shift.  

[ Airynn exits the room. ]

SCENE THREE:

Meanwhile, back at Tiesun's.

[ She is busy cleaning in the living

room, humming a soft tune 

to herself when she hears a 

loud, triple knock.

Opening the door a little, someone

pushes right past her inside. ]

TIESUN: Hi mom.  You couldn't

have called?

MOMDENALI: Maybe.  I doubt

you would've pick up for me.

TIESUN: Probably not considering

I'm trying to pick up this place

a little.

[ Her mother walks around to the

couch, lifting off a pair of men's

boxers from her way as Tiesun

hurries over, snatching them

away. ]

MOMDENALI: You didn't tell me

you we're living with this new

man already.

TIESUN: We're not living together

he just stays here sometimes.

MOMDENALI: Oh, I see.

TIESUN: You'd be happy to know

he wants to come to church

some time with us.

MOMDENALI: You're hardly there

anymore as it is.

TIESUN: I go when I can.  Larrie

will be here in a couple hours.

You can meet him then.


SCENE FOUR:  

[  Brian is still sitting down.  As he
starts flipping through channels,
Kristyn joins him in the room. ]

KRISTYN: Hey.  How is your first
week going?

BRIAN: Pretty good.

[ He responds without looking
in Kristyn's direction. ]

KRISTYN: That's nice.  Ski's a
cool boss and so is Mark.  This
can be a great place to work.

[ Brian gives a faint smile &
continues looking away. 

A minutes goes by, Kristyn
is relieved to see Amber
walk into the room. ]

AMBER: Hey, you're Brian. Right?

[ He shakes his head. ]

AMBER: There's a bit of a situation
going on right now.  You might want
to stay inside.
KRISTYN: Why, what's going on?

[ Kristyn gets up & Brian walks out
beside them. ]

AMBER: Reporters.  They're outside.


Everywhere.

SCENE FIVE:

[ Tiesun & her mother are still
talking in the living room. ]

TIESUN: So how have things
been at your office?

MOMDENALI: They're fine.
I'm more concered about you.
TIESUN: I'm doing great. I don't
see a problem really.

MOMDENALI: You may not but
things have changed between
us and I'm starting to see the
reason why.

[ Suddenly Larrie walks in the
room.  He introduces himself &
sit next to Tiesun on the couch. ]

LARRIE: Sorry about the mess.  I
would have cleaned earlier if I
knew you we're coming.
MOMDENALI: It's okay.  Don't
change anything on account
of me.

[ She gets up, looks around the room 
& starts heading toward the door. 

A little while later on. ]

LARRIE: What exactly did she
mean by that?
TIESUN: She's not at all happy
that you stay over here but
guess what.  It's our business
and not anyone else's.

[ She smiles giving Larrie a
quick kiss on the cheek. ]


SCENE SIX:
Outside of The Aisles.

[ Mark is standing in front of a crowd
of reporters that have gathered in 
the parking lot when Brian comes
out. ]

"There he is.  Brain, Brian!."

[ He walks over, unthreatened. ]

BRIAN: I'm not with the PC anymore.

What is this about?
MARK: Hey man, you don't have to
answer any of their questions.

Can you people move along?

[ Mark puts his hand on Brian's 
shoulder but he walks on. ]

REPORTER: Do you have anything
to say about this footage?

[ The reporter comes up to Brian
& Mark showing them video from
off a laptop.

Shocked, they look on as the PC is
shown doing the failed human
sacrefice. ]

[ The color drains from Brian's
face as the other reporters start
shouting things at him.

Mark huddles him along inside. ]

MARK: I would suggest you medaling
fuckers leave before I call the cops.
