SCENE 1:

Still at Mark & Ski’s.

SKI: If you we’re having

feelings for her, all you

had to do was tell me

and we could have

figured it out.

But you hid it for three

months.

MARK: You can’t just go.

[ Ski grabs his suitcase

& walks out the door

leaving Mark standing

there. ]

[ The next morning at Hithe’s ]

HITHE: Hey your phone keeps

going off.  It’s probably Mark.

Here.

[ Ski takes the phone & sits

it down on the nightstand. ]

HITHE: You’re gonna have to

talk to him eventually.

SKI: I know, but not today.

I have to get to the store

& help set up everything

for the show.  Tonight

is all about my team.

HITHE: Well, alright then.

Whose ready to party?

[ Hithe dances around the

room forcing Ski to smile. ]

SCENE 2:

Inside the Salon.

[ Karie enters Ace’s office

& sits down in front of him. ]

ACE: Hey, what’s going on?

KARIE: I don’t know.  Everyone

seems to have a problem with

Lorenzo.

He may be a little self-absorbed

but he’s great at what he does here.

[ Ace looks away from her. ]

KARIE: Oh no.  Not you too.

ACE: I’m sorry babe.  He just

rubs me the wrong way.

KARIE: And Hithe agrees?

ACE: Yes but it’s your decision.

And we’ll stand by you.

KARIE: Good.  That’s all I needed

to hear.  He’ll be coming in this

afternoon.

ACE: Fine.  Tell him he could try

being less of an ass and more

humble to be around.

KARIE: Will do.

[ She kisses Ace on the check

& leaves the office. ]

SCENE 3:

Back at Mark’s house.

[ Chais, Billy, Jenni, & Jai are

sitting in the living room

watching TV.  ]

BILLY: So that’s it, huh?

Your parents are toast.

JAI: Don’t say that!

[ Jai sighs & leaves the room. ]

CHAIS: I don’t know, man.

Ski was pretty pissed when

he left this morning.

And he won’t return Mark’s

calls.

JENNI: That’s understandable

though.  Technically your

Dad cheated.

BILLY: True, but none of us

know what it’s like to be

into guys and girls.

Anyways, I have to get

home and do some studying.

Got a test tomorrow and

my mom is all over my

butt.

[ Billy heads for the door. ]

CHAIS: Later.

SCENE 4:

Later that night.

[ Ski, Larrie, & Tiesun

arrive in a limo to pick up

Stuu, Weis & Joh for the

nights team party.

They get inside. ]

JOH: Wow, this is so cool.

WEIS: Yeah, where’s Airynn?

SKI: He’s meeting us there.

As is LeeVigh right.

JOH: Yup.

SKI: Cool, and Hithe just texted

me.  A lot of people are there

already.

Are you excited for your first

show?

STUU: I’m a little nervous.

TIESUN: Don’t worry about it.

I’ve heard you practice and

SKI: I agree.

WEIS: This is gonna be

the best night of our lives.

[ Ski, Larrie, Joh, Stuu

& Tiesun raise their wine

glasses together. ]

SCENE 5:

Outside the Salon.

[ Karie is locking up when

she notices Lorenzo sitting

outside. ]

KARIE: Hey, I thought you

left an hour ago.

LORENZO: Nope, still here.

Somehow I get the idea

that no one around here

likes me.

KARIE: It’s not that at all.

LORENZO: You don’t have to

lie, Kare.

KARIE: They just don’t know

you like I do but they will

come around.

So, what do you have going

on tonight.  Hot date?

LORENZO: Nope. Probably just

sit alone in my apartment

watching movies.

KARIE: Lame.   Well, the nights

team is having a party in about

an hour.  Since you’re an official

TA employee now why don’t

you come.

LORENZO: Thanks, I’ll be there.

SCENE 6:

Inside TA, at the Party.

[ After the nights team is

introduced to the crowd,

they separate while Weis,

LeeVigh, & Stuu get set up.

Ski finds Hithe, Ace, Karie,

Amber, Jeszyca, & Landyn

seated near the stage. ]

AMBER: This is amazing, Ski.

But how are you really feeling?

I heard about Mark.

SKI: I don’t wanna talk about

it now. This is about them.

[ He gets up & goes to the

microphone. ]

SKI: I just wanted to thank

everyone for coming to

celebrate our win.

Ladies and gentleman,

Slees.

[ As Weis starts to sing,

Ski finds his seat & starts

to get into the song.

Suddenly Mark arrives

in the back, seeing Ski

he starts toward him

but stops when he sees him

staring in Weis’ direction. ]

SCENE 7:

[ Outside in the parking

lot, Landyn catches up

to Mark. ]

LANDYN: Where are you going?

MARK: Away from here.

LANDYN: I think Ski would

appreciate it if you stayed

 in support.

Come on man, just hang out

with me and Ace.

MARK: Why? He’s been ignoring

me all day.  And you know what

this night is really about.

LANDYN: What, his team?

MARK: Wake up Land, it’s all

about Weis.

[ Mark gets in his car and

drives away leaving Landyn

in the parking lot. ]

SCENE 1:

Morning shift, TA.

[ Landyn cautiously enters the

store.  Looking down, he heads

quickly toward the break room

but instead bumps into Kristyn. ]

KRISTYN: Hey, I know you’ve been

busy running lines for our next

commercial but I figured after

the other night you would at

least call me.

LANDYN: You’re right.  We do need

to talk about things.  But right now

Mark needs me in his office.

KRISTYN: Oh, alright.  I’ll see you

later then.

[ Kristyn smiles at Landyn as he

walks by & waves. Moments later

Monica comes up to floral. ]

MONICA: That looked cozy.  Is

there something you’re not

telling me?

KRISTYN: Well let’s just say

Landyn becomes very bold

MONICA: Okay, and what does

that mean exactly?

KRISTYN: It means that he kissed

me.

MONICA: You’re kidding! 

KRISYN: No, I’m not.  And it was

long, hot, and extra extended.

[ Monica stares in surprise. ]

MONICA: Girl, you wild!

SCENE 2:

[ Marisa is driving downtown

when her phone rings. ]

“Hey, sorry it took me so

long to get back to you.”

MARISA: It’s cool, I’m glad that

you finally did. 

AIRYNN: We haven’t talked in

a long time.  What’s going on?

MARISA: I guess you haven’t realized

the damage your dumb dare has

caused your so-called friend.

Joh is facing serious charges

because of this.

AIRYNN: Hey, it’s not my fault.

I didn’t think he would do it.

MARISA: That’s not the point.

We’ve all three known each

other for most of our lives.

Through all of school &

even two years of college.

Are you ever gonna mature?

AIRYNN: I’m sorry.  It was just

a stupid joke.   Anyway, Stuu

told me how Joh has been

lately and maybe it serves

him right. 

So, what are you gonna do

now?

MARISA: I’ll take him to court,

 but If Joh doesn’t start acting

right I’m not going to stick

around.

SCENE 3:

Back inside TA.

[ Hours later, Kristyn meets

up with Landyn in the front

break room. ]

KRISTYN: Finally, we’re alone.

[ She gets closer to Landyn,

not noticing his expression. ]

LANDYN: Wait, just a minute.

[ Kristyn immediately backs up. ]

KRISTYN: What is it?

LANDYN: Look, the other night

when I kissed you.  I have no

idea what I was doing.  Literally.

KRISTYN: Well, it sure seems like

It.  You kept it going for an hour.

LANDYN: I know, I know.  And

It seems like I led you on.

Not to mention, it was

very unprofessional of

me to take it there in the

first place. 

KRISTYN: But I don’t care.

We can keep this just to

ourselves. 

LANDYN: I don’t think you

understand me.  The ex I

told you about.  That’s a guy

who works nights here.

 

I’m sorry.  I thought you

knew.

[ Kristyn stands there in shock. ]

SCENE 4:

Downtown at the Court House.

[ Marisa meets Joh inside. ]

MARISA: The security here is

tight.  I hate going in places

like this.

JOH:  Right, it sucks.  Bet

I know something else

that’s tight. 

[ Joh starts to laugh as people

begin looking in his direction. ]

MARISA: Knock it off.  I can’t

believe you smoked before

you got here.  What if the

judge realizes your high?

JOH: I’m sorry but I was

freaking out.  You would be

too, if you were in this

situation.  Trust me, it’s

no big deal.  Not like I do

it all the time.

MARISA: Fine, let’s just get

this over with.

[ Joh takes Marisa’s hand.  As

they attempt to walk into the

court room, an officer stops

them. ]

OFFICER: This is a closed session.

[ He points to Marisa. ]

OFFICER: She can wait out here.

SCENE 5:

A Café, near TA.

LANDYN: Thanks for meeting me,

man.  I had to get away from

Kristyn and her cold stares.

I feel so bad right now.

KYLE: I can’t believe you kissed

a chick.  Huge surprise for this

time in the morning. 

LANDYN: Right.  Leave it to me

to mess up again.  Hope

she’ll talk to me soon.

KYLE: I wouldn’t stress too much.

Kristyn’s pretty chill.  I’m sure

she’ll forgive you.  I’m the real

idiot though.

LANDYN: Why? Don’t tell me

you regret quitting TA now?

KYLE: Not at all.  I love what I

do, man.  It just.

LANDYN:  You also love Monica?

KYLE: Yeah, exactly.  I wish there

was some way to have both.

[ Suddenly Kyle receives a text

message on his phone & stops

talking. ]

KYLE:  Shit man, I gotta run.

LANDYN: But we haven’t even

eaten yet.

KYLE: It’s Ace.  Something’s wrong.

He needs me to drive him to

the hospital.

SCENE 6:

[ Marisa hears people talking

in the court room & she waits

for Joh to come walking out

Finally in sight, Marisa notices

the drained expression on his

face. ]

MARISA: What happened?

What did the judge say?

[ Joh looks up at Marisa. ]

JOH: Say hello to the newest

soon-to-be registered

sex offender.

MARISA:  If you’re playing games

with me, I promise Johsef.

JOH: Babe, I’m not.

[ He sits down on the bench. ]

JOH: For once today, I’m not.

MARISA: Well, what can we do?

This isn’t fair.  We have to fight

this.

[ Joh stands up facing her. ]

JOH: Maybe this was someone’s

plan to snap me back into reality.

Show me that unless I do what

I was taught from birth my life

will always go wrong, right?

[ Weis hangs up as
a bus stops by him
on the street. Swiping
a card, he gets on and
finds a back seat ]

SCENE 3

[ After leaving Markis’, Larrie is
driving home. Off in his own world,
he looks to his side and sees a young
woman walking down the street. ]

[ Distracted, he doesn’t notice a
construction cone sitting in the
road. Swaying at the last second,
he misses and slides right into a
mailbox, knocking it down. ]

‘Holy. . .shit!’

[ Larrie gets out of his car. ]

[ The women jogs by laughing at
him. Larrie looks down the street
and turns around. Seeing its clear,
he gets back in his car and takes
off. ]


[ Minutes later. . .Larrie pulls into
his driveway and gets out. Coming
inside he doesn’t notice his sister
sitting at the dining room table. ]

LARRIE: Why are you
sitting in the dark?
And where is mom
and dad?

RYAH: I don’t know.
out?
LARRIE: Good. Later.

[ He turns to go downstairs,
but Ryah stops him. ]

RYAH: Something’s up
with you I can tell.
LARRIE: Listen kid,

SCENE 4

[ Sitting down, Weis
is forced to stare at
the back of Stuu’s
head. Feeling crowded
he quickly gets off
at the next stop. ]

[ He turns around ]

WEIS: What the hell?

STUU: Relax buddy.
Just wondering what
your problem with

It’s obviously deep
since you fled the
bus.

[ Weis gets in Stuu’s
face and he backs
up ]

took Joh’s matters

[ Meanwhile, at
TA, Kyle
knocks on Mark’s
office door. ]

‘So, what can
I do for you?’

[ Kyle enters and
sits down while
Mark is reading
over papers.]

KYLE: Well, I
know I’m kinda
new at this store.
But it just seems
like lately I’ve been
ran here, there and
everywhere.
MARK: I know. I’m
working on hiring
new baggers and
getting you in a
more permanent
position soon.
KYLE: That would
be great, but I had
another idea.

Since Ace will be
managing the Salon,
maybe you would
consider hiring me
as a replacement?

[ Mark looks at him ]

SCENE 6

‘Okay, I admit
that wasn’t

[ Weis looks down. ]

door and leans
back against it
