" We Said, He Said (100th Post) "

SCENE 1:

[ LeeVigh emerges from the water,
still with no sign of Stuu.  Seeing the
waves start to build, he fears the
worst as he backs away toward
 the beach. ]

“Where is everyone?”

[ Sitting on the ground, he begins to
shake.  Slowly tears start to fall from
his eyes & a hand touches him on
the shoulder. ]

AIRYNN: What are you doing out
here alone?  You loser.

[ LeeVigh turns around & Airynn
can sense his fear.  He stops &
sits down next to him. ]

LEEVIGH: It’s about Stuu.  He fell
over the edge.  I can’t find him
anywhere!

[ Airynn turns away with a sly smirk
on his face. ]

AIRYNN: I’m pretty sure weirdo is
playing you, man.  He’s passed out
in the cabin right now.

LEEVIGH: What?

SCENE 2:
The Following Weekend. . .JW Convention.

[ Marisa follows Joh out of the
stadium exit and into the hallway. ]

JOH: I knew you couldn’t last until
lunch.
MARISA: Yeah, the speakers we’re
good.  I just needed a break.
JOH: You just want to feel my body.

MARISA: Me? I caught you staring at
my legs a few times.

[ Joh laughs and reaches for her hand. ]

MARISA: What’s in there?

[ They enter a smaller hallway and
walk toward the door at the end. ]

MARISA: Well, it’s not locked.

[ Inside is a room with various
production equipment and
computer monitors. ]

MARISA: I don’t think we
should be in here.
JOH: Oh well. We’re not
doing anything bad.  Yet.

[ She walks over & Joh grabs
her waist.  Forcing her to fall
into his lap. ]

SCENE 3:
Morning at TA. . .

[ Hahn is walking around the
front end frantic, when Kristyn
walks over to him. ]

KRISTYN: What’s going on?

HAHN: It’s after 9 and Syria
still isn’t here.
KRISTYN: Well, me and Monica
got it covered.  We’re taking
turns on her lane.

I’m not that busy in floral.
HAHN: This isn’t about that.

Her husband is kind of.
KRISTYN: What, is he abusive?

[ Syria walks through the door
flustered & Hahn walks over
to greet her. ]

HAHN: Morning, you alright?
SYRIA: Yeah, I’m fine.
Just had to wait for a ride.
HAHN: I see.  And how is
Mr. Jones?

SYRIA: I’m going to clock
In.  Don’t want to waste
any more time.

[ She quickly walks away
from Hahn, leaving his
question unanswered. ]

SCENE 4:
Back in the Open Room.

[ Joh & Marisa are making
out when Joh’s foot brushes
against an extension cord
on the floor.

Suddenly the lights flicker
off & they are in complete
silence. ]

MARISA: Oh no.  What did you
press?

I don’t hear anyone speaking
anymore.

[ Marisa gets off of Joh.  Getting
down she looks for the unplugged
cord.

Instead of helping her, Joh heads
over to the door. Before he can do
anything two men rush inside. ]

“What are you two doing in here?”

JOH: It was an accident.  We’re sorry.
We just got a little lost.
BROTHER1:  And how did you manage
to hit the switch?

I know you’ve been here before.

[ The other man escorts out Marisa &
they continue to question Joh. ]

SCENE 5:
Outside of TA. . .

[ Dyminic is sitting in his
car when Amber arrives &
parks in the space next to him.

He gets out & waits for her
to open the door. ]

“Amber, I didn’t know you
worked here.”

AMBER: Dymnic, hey.

Yeah, I’m one of the
managers now.  I thought
you lived in another city.
DYMINIC: I do, but my wife
works here.

AMBER: I see.

[ They talk for a little while,
not noticing Syria has come
outside & is watching them. ]

HAHN: Hey, someone’s on
your lane.
SYRIA: Sorry, I was just checking
on the carts.  Making sure they
weren’t gone.

[ She heads back inside, & Hahn
sees Dyminic walking away from
Amber. ]

SCENE 6:
Back at the Stadium.

[ Marisa is waiting outside
the room for Joh.  Listening, she
hears loud voices and she
starts to worry.

A few minutes pass by, Marisa
watches as everyone leaves
out except for Joh.  She walks
by the room and he is standing
in the doorway. ]

MARISA: What happened?
Am I not allowed back?

JOH: You? No, you’re just studying.
MARISA: So? I was just as much
involved as you were.
JOH: Doesn’t matter, I’m the one
they reamed.  Called a bad example.

My parents are probably freaking.
MARISA: I’m sorry, let’s just go.

JOH: You don’t understand, Marisa.
They saw us kissing.
It was on camera. On top of other
assumptions.

MARISA: So what could they do?

SCENE 7:
Back at TA, Late afternoon.

[ Syria is gathering her stuff
in the front break room & Hahn
comes in shutting the door behind
him. ]

SYRIA: You trying to be smooth?
Why did you just lock the door?

HAHH: So you could get your things
in peace, without any crazies
showing up.

[ Hahn walks right up to her.
Bending down, he picks up Syria’s
purse & hands it to her. ]

SYRIA: I don’t know what
you mean. I have to leave.
HAHN: I think you do. Let’s
face it, Dymnic’s not always
a nice person.

But I have been.

SYRIA: Your a little close.

[ Before Syria can move away,
Hahn places his lips on hers.  She
wants to stop him, but soon they
are wrapped up in each other’s arms
kissing up against the table. ]

SCENE 8:
At Ace’s Parent’s House.

[ Ace is talking to his cousin
Larrie in the kitchen. ]

“See, doesn’t it feel better to
be honest?”

ACE: I guess.  My mom cried.

My dad was pissed I didn’t
tell them sooner.
LARRIE: The normal reactions.
So, what’s the next step?

ACE: They’re gonna try and
shrink the growth through
radiation.
LARRIE: Sounds trying.
ACE: Yeah.
LARRIE: You scared?

ACE: Maybe a little.
LARRIE: Well, don’t worry.

I’ll be kicking your ass
until we’re old old
 men.

ACE: Ha!  You’ve never

kicked my ass, man

" It's All Me "

SCENE 1: Outside of class, at MSCC.

[ Marisa is standing in a corner near
her classroom. ]

“Hey, you hiding from someone?”

[ Startled, she turns around. ]

MARISA: Oh, hey. What would give
you that idea?

[ She laughs nervously and follows
her friend into class. ]

LORI: You’ve been acting strange
for the past two weeks. What’s
going on?
MARISA: Its nothing.  Have you
seen Airynn around since classes
started?
LORI: No, I haven’t.  Don’t tell me
you like him again.
MARISA: Of course not.  I was just
wondering.

[ Lori gives her a look and sits down
at the table.  Marisa walks away,
looking down at her phone. ]

“Incoming Text: Airynn”

“Hey, sorry I haven’t gotten ahold of
you in a while.  Something came up
that night and I couldn’t make it to
the park.  We should talk. I’ll meet
you after class.”

[ Marisa sits down with a worried look on her face. ]

LORI: I knew something was wrong. That was
him harassing you, wasn’t it?
MARISA: Listen, Airynn’s not the problem.
I am.  And I have to leave.

[ She grabs her bag and exits. ]

SCENE 2: In the Salon office.

“Morning.  I’m ready to hear all
your fabulous ideas now.”

[ Karie smiles, walking up to Hithe. ]

HITHE: Oh hey. How are the appointments
looking for today?
KARIE: Better, I guess.  We’re set until
late afternoon.
HITHE: That’s good.  I have a plan for the
rest of the day too.

[ Hithe stands and begins walking around the room. ]

HITHE: I’m going out there to speak
with the entering customers.
KARIE: Out where? There’s no one around.
HITHE: Not over here.  In front of TA.

[ He opens the door to the office and steps out. ]

KARIE: Yeah. Well, don’t let Mark find out.
HITHE: Not a problem.  I rule at being sneaky.

[ Outside of TA, Hithe sees a familiar face
coming toward him. ]

“Mrs. Monroe, you’re looking exquisite
today.  Is that a new dress?”

MRS. MONROE: Why yes it is.
Thank you, Hithe.
HITHE:  You’re very welcome.

[ He winks at her and comes closer. ]

HITHE: You know what would go well
with that?  A nice trip into our salon.
Some new hair.   A romantic night.

 Surprise your husband, maybe?

SCENE 3: At Marisa’s apartment.

[ Marisa comes in, shutting the door
and drops her stuff on the ground. ]

“I am truly loosing it!”

[ Picking up her phone she calls the
first person who comes to mind. ]

MARISA: Hey, what are you doing
tonight?

Really, that sounds interesting.
I’m serious.  You dress up for those
right?  I’ll get ready and meet you
around 7:30.
Cool.  See ya soon.

SCENE 4:  Hithe enters the Salon.

KARIE: Well, damn.  You have fun bothering
people all day?
HITHE: Bother my ass.  I got the salon
a whole slew of new clients.

Without even leaving the parking lot.  I’d
say I did an exceptional job.

[ Turned to Karie, he doesn’t see
Mark walk in behind him. ]

KARIE: Someone came to congratulate you.

[ Hithe turns around fast. ]

MARK: Yeah.  Can I speak to you outside?

SCENE 5: Outside in a quiet parking lot.

[ Marisa gets out of her car in a long,
white dress and waits beside it.  Looking
at her phone, she sees the time change
to 7:30. ]

[ 5 minutes later, a truck pulls up close
and a familiar person walks toward
her. ]

MARISA: Thanks for meeting me.
JOH: No problem.  I’m surprised you
wanted to come out here.

I still remember you and Airynn’s
reaction when you first found out
I was a Witness.
MARISA: Yeah, sorry about that.
The last thing I wanted was
to make you uncomfortable.
Or rub anything in.
JOH: I know that and Airynn
was just being himself.
MARISA: You mean, an ass?

[ He laughs and she looks away. ]

MARISA: Sorry. Bad word choice.
JOH: It’s fine. I’m not your dad.
So, why sit through a meeting?

[ She stands up and faces him. ]

MARISA: I’m not sure.  I guess I’ve
just been feeling lost lately.  And I
thought that maybe this could be
what I need.
JOH: Sure, that makes sense. But
what about this?

[ Joh picks Marisa up and sits her down
on the back on his truck.  Not giving her
a chance to speak, he kisses her until
she soon forgets what she was saying. ]

SCENE 6: In between TA and the Salon.

HITHE: First off, have you taken your meds
today?
MARK: Good one, Hithe.  But as much as
I’d like it to be, this isn’t a reaming.  I actually
wanted to tell you tomorrow will be the last
time we need you to manage the late
afternoon.
HITHE: Thank god.

[ Hithe looks up to Mark staring at him. ]

HITHE: I mean, it was hard balancing both
places.  You know?
MARK: I know you would rather help with
the Salon.  No hard feelings.  By the looks
of things, Ace could use all the help he
can get.
HITHE:  No.  The kid was just exhausted.  He’ll
be in tip top shape to return tomorrow.

[ Marks smirks before walking away. ]

MARK: Whatever you say, man.

[ He leaves and Karie comes outside. ]

HITHE: He’s so damn cocky.
KARIE: Who, Mark?
HITHE: Yeah, it’s like he has no
trust in me or Ace.  His supposed
best friend.
KARIE:  He’s the store.  We’re the Salon.
Why does his opinion matter?
HITHE: It just bothers me.  I’m gonna
show him though.  And anyone else
who dare doubted us.

[ He walks away, leaving Karie
in shock. ]
