( Starring Maxx /Kyle )

Saturday morning, TA.

[ Maxx dodges through clusters of
customers finally making his way
to the bakery counter.

He sees Scott sitting on a stool
towards the back and calls to
him. ]

MAXX: Must be nice to be the
only department not drowning
in a line.

And patience isn't any of
these people's virtue.

SCOTT: You're kidding me
right?  I can't keep anything
in the case.  And I'm the only
one here right now

First time i've sat down in
four hours.

MAXX: That's fucked up.  But
at least you don't smell like
funky ass fish.

[ He laughs a little. ]

SCOTT: Yeah.  I can't wait to
be on the beach.  Drinks in
hand and far away from
here.

Six more days!

[ Maxx doesn't respond
but instead is busy in his
phone scrolling through
Ricky's page. ]

SCOTT: You hear me?
MAXX: Yeah man.

[ Scott gets closer to him. ]

MAXX: Ricky sure is posting
a lot lately.  She didn't use
to be like that.
SCOTT: Your girlfriend is beau-
tiful.  What's the problem?

MAXX: Nothing.  As long as
that's all it is.

I'll see you later.  


At Monica & Kyle's house.

[ Caleb enters the front door &
sees Kyle sitting on the couch
in the living room. ]

"So what happened at work
yesturday?"

[ Caleb takes a seat across
from Kyle in a chair. ]

KYLE: Just got into it with the
boss again.  Another year 
and they are refusing to
give me a raise for all I
do at the gym.

CALEB: I figured that. As
nice as the place is.  Its
really nothing as long as
the company backing it is
crappy.
KYLE: Exactly. That's what
they fail to understand. Who
cares about the people and
the ones bringing in clients
everyday.

Hey. You want a beer?

[ Kyle springs up & walks
toward the kitchen. ]

CALEB: It's 11:30 in the 
morning.

KYLE: Don't act like you've
never day drank before.

Here.

[ Kyle sits close to him. ]

CALEB: Are you sure that's
a good idea?
KYLE: Why wouldn't it be?
We can chill here all day.

Uninterrupted.

[ Caleb wants to speak.  An intense
pressure builds up inside of him
but he ignores it.

Opting to take a drink instead. ]


Later that afternoon.

[ Maxx shuts off the steaming
stream of water as he stares 
down at the tub.

Shutting it off, he grabs a
towel & wraps it around his
waist.  Stepping out. ]

[ He joins Ricky in their bedroom. ]

MAXX: I like your hair babe.
How are Sascha and Tila
doing?
RICKY: They're fine.  I'm
just finalizing a few things
about our travel plans.

[ She shuts her laptop & joins
him on the bed.  ]

MAXX: We deserve it.  Did you 
see who made the top selling
department this month?
RICKY: I'm guessing it was meat.
MAXX: Ding ding ding.  it's
cuz we make the best team.

[ He kisses her on the cheek. ]

RICKY: You're so corny.  I need
to talk to you about something.

I made an appointment to see
a surgeon why were down
there.

MAXX: For what?

[ The atmosphere is shook as the
conversation suddenly gets serious. ]


Back At The Hasileda's.


KYLE: You keep hinting like
you want to talk about 
something.

What is it?

[ Kyle turns around looking
squarely at Caleb while
sitting down his beer
loudly. ]

CALEB: I think you need help.
KYLE: Oh please. That wasn't
what you were going to say.

[ Caleb stands up. ]

CALEB: You really don't remember
what went on the last time
you invited me here alone?

The state I found you in?

KYLE: Nothing happened.
CALEB: I'm not delusional.

You practically forced my
head down there.

[ Kyle is stunned. ]

CALEB: Just because you
forgot doesn't mean it
didn't happen.  

And the fact that you 
don't remember says
a lot.


At Ricky's & Maxx'.

MAXX: I understand that
certain procedures were 
necessary when you start-
ed.

But why more now?
Everyone says you look
amazing.

RICKY: I'm not feeling
completely myself just
yet and this is the reason.

[ She sits up.  Starring
at the mirror & locked
onto the middle of her
face. ]

MAXX: Well.  What all
is it going to take for
you to be there?

RICKY: Hey.  You don't
have to worry about
any of this. I'll be fine.
MAXX: You're acting like
its a normal thing to get
work done to yourself.

It's not!

RICKY: You're right.

[ She turns around
leaning her arms on Maxx'
chest & getting closer to
him. ]

RICKY: That's why this is
the last time.

[ She silences him with
continuous soft kisses. ]


Monica arrives home.

[ Walking down the hall
she hears loud voices coming
the living room area. ]

'You should just leave."

"Push me away. That's going
to solve everything."

"Why are you still here?"

[ Monica reaches the room
to see Kyle with rage in his
eyes heading toward Caleb. ]

MONICA: Hey.  What's with all
the yelling?

[ Kyle composes himself &
backs aways from Caleb. ]

KYLE: We we're just fucking
around.  Sorry.

[ He looks at Caleb & then
kisses Monica on the lips
and hugs on to her. ]

CALEB: Yeah.  I better go.

You two have some
catching up to do.

[ He smirks at Kyle on his
way out of the door. ]

( Starring Trailyn /Weis-Lee )

Monica & Kyle's house.

[ Trailyn, Mairya, & Jenni are

sitting in the living room. ]

"This is amazing!"

[ Jenni calls from the hall after

eyeing Trailyn's shiny, but subtle

orange performance dress.

She joins them on the sofa. ]

TRAILYN: You don't think it's

too much? 

JENNI: Not at all. It's perfect.

TRAILYN: If this goes well

it could turn into a regular

thing for me there.

JENNI: That's exciting.

TRAILYN: So who all did you

invite?

MAIRYA: I'll be bringing Micaa,

H and Dean.

[ They both look at Jenni. ]

JENNI: Chais and Billy left this

morning on some mission out

of state.  I think they are staying

over night. 

But I should probably warn you

H may have invited Jai which

means my nonsense sis

will be tagging along.

MAIRYA: Oh great.  I'll be sure

to thank him for his lack of

common sense.

[ She looks over at her best friend. ]

MAIRYA: If you want me to bounce

her ass out of there, just give me

the word.

TRAILYN: No thanks.  I don't 

need the drama.  Anyway my

music is open to all.  Especially

cheating, lying snakes.

[ Trailyn holds out her phone,

scrolling through her lyrics. ]

TA, Back conference room.

[ Hiring manager Weis is sitting

down organizing resumes before

the event starts.

Checking his phone for the time,

he waits for his GM to show up. ]

[ A few minutes later, there's a knock

& the door opens.]

WEIS: Whoa, what are you doing

here?

[ Joh enters in similar dress with

a button up white shirt, pants

& a tie. ]

JOH: Last night, I was sitting in

my room catching up on my

favorite series when Mark 

emails me out of nowhere

saying they got last minute

tickets and are leaving in the

morning.

Conveniently I was already

scheduled.

[ He smiles, sitting down. ]

WEIS: Last minute my ass.  They

did that shit on purpose.

JOH: Yeah, I know.  That's why we

are going to stretch this double

time out as long as possible and

make the best out of our day.

And I know the sweetest way to 

start.

WEIS: You brought some?

JOH: Already rolled buddy.

WEIS: Let's go.  We have

to be back seated in fifteen

minutes.

[ They race to the employee lot

where Joh's car is parked.

Ten minutes later, they are freshly

sprayed & back inside sitting

in the open conference room. ]

WEIS: You were right.  It's way

too busy out there to do this

in the lobby area.

So who is going to be

outside doing check-ins?

[ Airynn peaks in from around

the corner. ]

AIRYNN: Morning losers.

JOH: Hey. Right on time.

WEIS: Yeah. Let's try to leave

my virginity story out of the

intros this time.*

[ Airynn laughs from the hall. ]

Highway passed Mirror city.

[ Billy is driving while Chais

is sitting, anxiously in the 

passenger seat. ]

"We need to hurry."

BILLY: Your parents won't be

back until tomorrow some

time.

Chill the hell out.

CHAIS: I know. But i want a

chance to circle these edibles

around before the weekend.

See if they actually sell.

BILLY: It's cool. We can bake

or whatever we need to do

all night.

CHAIS: And we'll have to store

everything downstairs.

BILLY: Did you make the list?

CHAIS: Yeah. It's on my phone.

BILLY: Honestly.  I'm surprised

you're making changes at all.

Things were going pretty well

so far.

CHAIS: It wasn't my choice.

BILLY: I see.  Well that's not

going to last long.

CHAIS: What is that suppose

to mean?

BILLY: Nothing.

[ He turns up the music.

Hours later, they pull into a

parking spot. ]

CHAIS: We good?

BILLY: Yeah, my cousin's inside.

I'll be waiting out here.

[ Chais leaves him & enters

the store. ]


Later that night.

[ Trailyn is sitting down back-
stage going over things with
her band.

Meanwhile; Mairya, Micaa,
Little H, Dean, & Jenni are
sitting at a table in front 
of the stage. ]

JENNI: This is nice.  I'm glad we
all could be here to support
her.
MAIRYA: Yeah it was.  Until
someone decided to invite
an enemy along.

LITTLE H: Really? It was an
innocent mistake.  They just
fell asleep together from
what I heard.

[ Mairya rolls her eyes at him. ]

JENNI: And Tray is over it.  It's
not her focus anymore.  So why
are  you still making it yours?

[ Mairya goes to speak but is
interrupted by the DJ calling
everyone to attention on the
mic.

After getting the crowd quiet,
he introduces Trailyn and she
walks out.  Taking her place
on a stool in the center. ]

[ She looks up in time to see
her ex Jai and Kaori walk in
& take a seat at a side table.

Unfazed, the music begins &
she starts to sing.  Staring
right at them. ]


Earlier that day, TA.

[ After hours of interviewing
& multiple decision made.

Weis & Joh are down to the
last three candidates going
for a produce position.

Zoie, Tomas, & Jadyn.  ]

"I think Jadyn is the best
qualified."

[ Weis breaks the silence. ]

JOH: Yeah you would.
WEIS: What? He had the most
relevant experience and he
was the most engaging.

JOH: He engaged in some-
thing alright.  Staring down
every inch of you.  He cleary
wanted some.
WEIS: Oh please.  I haven't
been physical with anyone since
I started dating Stuu.  Almost two 
years I honestly don't even 
think about that part of me 
now.
JOH: If you say so dude.  I mean,
it's not like you haven't been
busy taking care of Mila
and everything.

WEIS: Exactly.  I'm gonna go
piss and then we can tell
him and get out of here.

[ Weis walks in the bathroom
not noticing that Jadyn has
followed him and entered also.

Jadyn takes a stand right next
to him. He sits back some. Unzips
his pants & slowly begins to
urinate looking over at Weis.

Weis is stone locked, keeping
his glance forward. ]

JADYN: Go ahead.  Look.


On Stage, 'All Ages'.

"Started as a simple
Conversation.

She was just another
Friendly face and--

[ Trailyn glances at Jai who
is now stalled from siping
his water glass.

The music gets intense &
the backup singers come
in. ]

"Wait let me take a sec

(To gather all the lies up)"

[ Dean is smirking at the
table while everyone else
but Mairya looks uncomfor-
table. 

Trailyn continues to expose
him, moving around the stage
as she hold out her notes. ]

"We were just sleeping.

It was just a kiss."

"But i know exactly how
she used her lips."

[ The song ends & she's pointing
through the stage crowd in Kaori's
direction.

Kaori sips at her drink.  Not ashamed,
she stands for verification.  Starting
the applause while Jai shrinks down
in his seat. ]

A Sandy Reception

SCENE ONE :

Back break-room, TA.

[ Sandie & Syria are each sipping

their well sugared coffee drinks. ]

"He just packed up and left 
then.  Last night."

[ Staying straight faced, Sandie

firmly answers. ]

SANDIE: Pretty much.  It wasn't

working out so we're over.

No need for any further

examination on the matter.

[ She half smiles for reassurance. ]

SYRIA: I see.  And Charles

feels the same way?

SANDIE: Yesss. Is it so shocking

that two adults could come to

this mutual decision?

SYRIA: Not at all but after every-

thing you went through to get

back together.  It seems a tad

bit sudden.

[ Syria gets up to leave. ]

SYRIA: I'm sure you know 

what you're doing.

[ Later Sandie takes advantage

of her alone time to text a

new friend. ]

"Still on for tonight?"

SCENE TWO :

Meanwhile, front break-room.

[ Stuu & Brian are discussing his
first few weeks of fatherhood. ]

STUU: She's not crying for hours
much anymore.  So that's good.
BRIAN: You don't look very pleased
with that.  Is there something
else going on?

With Weis maybe?

STUU: Not really.  He's actually
been great.  Just my head has
been all over the place lately.

Do you think we're doing the
right thing for Mila?

BRIAN: Of course.  I mean,
you're bringing her up in
a happy environment around
two committed people.  What
else do you need?

[ Stuu stands up, walking toward
the wall. ]

STUU: I don't know.  A mom
maybe.  My family all thinks
she should be with adoptive
parents. A male and female.
BRIAN: Don't let them bother
you.  She's your daughter and
you chose to raise her this way.

It's no one else's business.

STUU: And we're happy.  So
screw them!


SCENE THREE :
Later that evening.

[ Sandie is pouring her date a
glass of wine as they sit out on
her balcony. ]

"When you called, I think it
would be an understatement
to say I didn't expect it."

SANDIE: We've always gotten
along.  You shouldn't be so
surprised.

TRIKL: True.  Family gatherings.
My engagement that lasted
for three whole weeks. So I
wouldn't be a complete jackass
to say I can recall some long-
ing glances.

[ Trikl laughs. Sandie stays silent. ]

TRIKL: It's all good.  Things happen
for a reason.

[ Suddenly Sandie is shaken by the
ring on Trikl's cell. ]

SANDIE: Someone has bad timing.
TRIKL: Uh yeah. It's my brother.

[ Trikl looks down at his phone. ]

"Incoming Call.  Charles."


SCENE FOUR :
At Stuu & Weis'.

[ Stuu returns from a jog around
the block.

He joins Weis, who is sitting
down in the living room. ]

WEIS: She's still sleeping.  Nice 
run?

[ Stuu nods, leans over & kisses
him on the cheek. ]

WEIS: Good.  I'll be downstairs.

Then we can watch a movie or
something.

[ Stuu gives Weis a look. ]

WEIS: What?
STUU: I still think it's best
if you don't do that here.
WEIS: She's in the room up
here on the other side of the
house from me.  It never 
bothered you before.

STUU: I know.  Just never mind.

WEIS: Nah, it's cool.  I'll just go
to Zain's.  See ya.

[ Before Stuu can move the door
slams behind Weis.  He sighs, 
immediately hearing Mila start
to cry. ]


SCENE FIVE :

[ Things are getting cozy back
on the balcony. ]

SANDIE: I'm glad you took my
advice and ignored that call.

TRIKL: It can wait.  I have more
important things to attend to.

[ He looks over, undressing her
with his sleazy eyes. ]

SANDIE: Anyway.  I asked you
here for a reason.  Did you bring
some?
TRIKL: Yes and you're lucky.  I
was just about to give this up.

[ He opens a box.  Not being shy
he takes a small amount of the
white powder and places it on
his hand.

Without any warning, Sandie
leans down.  Sniffing up the
contents. ]

TRIKL: You're a fast learner.

[ Sandie sits up. ]

SANDIE: I've been around.


SCENE SIX :

[ Stuu is holding baby Mila
while rummaging through
the messy house. ]

"Where on earth are all
the bottles?"

[ He starts to get panicked
as Mila continues to holler
in his ear.

Picking up the phone, he
speed dials Weis. ]

"You've reached Weis.  Leave
a message."

[ Stuu angerily tosses the 
phone as the crying gets
worse. ]

STUU: Crap.  I'm so sorry.

[ Finally locating the bottle he
sits down on the couch.  He
starts to feed her & Mila's
relaxed state calms him. ]

SCENE ONE :

Morning, All Hours Fitness.

[ Kyle & Sunshine are returning

mats & surveying the area after

their broga class. 

A few clients are talking in 

the background. ]

"Next time you want me

to take over it would be

nice to have a little warning."

[ Sunshine pokes fun at Kyle

who is using a towel as a

cover for his head. ]

KYLE: Sorry.  I know I haven't

been my usual, expressive

self today.  

SUNSHINE: Is anything going

on you wanna talk about?

KYLE: No.  I mean, not in

particular.  I should be

better by the afternoon.

I think I'll go on a run.

Clear my head a little.

[ They separate to head to

their lockers. ]

SUNSHINE: See you later

then.  Take it easy.

[ Kyle grabs his bag, throwing it

around both shoulders.  Opening

the gym door, he feels the crisp

air hit his face.

He zips up his jacket & takes

off, running down the road. ]

SCENE TWO :

Inside The Aisles.

[ Kristyn is ending her break &

heading to floral but takes

some time to have a talk

with Syria. ]

KRISTYN: So there's something

I was meaning to ask you about.

SYRIA: Go ahead.  I'm listening

hun.

KRISTYN: I know you and Dym-

inic are acquaintances but how

do you really feel about him

marrying Amber in a few weeks.

[ She looks at Syria, waiting. ]

SYRIA: Honestly, I'm totally fine

with it.  Me & Hahn are even

going to go.  We'll be sitting

on Mark & Ski's side though.

[ Syria looks mischievous &

Kristyn catches on. ]

KRISTYN: Yeah I figured.

SYRIA: Anyway I'm more con-

cerned for Amber.

KRISTYN: How come?

SYRIA: In our case, Dime proved

to have two different person-

alities.  The one you're dating

isn't the one you marry unfor-

tunately.  

[ Kristyn walks away curious. ] 

SCENE THREE :

[ Two full miles later, Kyle finally

takes a rest.  Taking a few long

gulps out his bottle, he walks onto

a grassy area filled with colorful

leaves.

He feels the urge to run back

but presses on as he spots a

familiar name on the ground

below him. ]

"Party" Marty Ramos

"Hey.  Sorry it took me over a

year to get up enough strength

to do this."

KYLE: Truthfully I'm not sure

where you are buddy or if

you can even hear me.  I know

everyone keeps saying you are

in a better place.

I just hope your happy and

I miss you.

[ Kyle feels a sudden weakness

come over him, & he goes to

kneel down instead. ]

KYLE: Since I left the club life

I haven't looked back.  Monica's

great.  The kids are good and

my career is blowing up at the

gym.

Oh, and Amber's getting married

in a few weeks.  

[ He stops, thinking for a moment

& stands up.]

KYLE: What am I doing?  I probably

sound like a complete idiot.

SCENE FOUR :

Later at TA.

[ Supervisor Airynn and stock guy

Brian are talking in the center

aisle. ]

"I'm telling you dude.  I looked up

the name on the bottle."

BRIAN: You sure you even read it

correctly?  I mean, you are not

the best speller.

AIRYNN: I wrote it down off the

label, genius!

BRIAN: Well forget about it.  If

Ricky wanted people to know,

I'm sure he would have said

something by now.

It's no big deal either way.

[ Airynn gives him a look when

Kristyn arrives from around the

corner. ]

KRISTYN: How's it going?

[ They are silenced, wondering

if she heard. ]

AIRYNN: Just fine.  And you?

KRISTYN: Good. 

[ They head to the back while

Kristyn walks over to meat

counter, trying not to be 

seen. ]

SCENE FIVE :

Late afternoon, the Salon.

[ Acer shuts his door while

Kyle is sitting at his desk 

with his head down. ]

"I tried to go see him but

it just made me feel worse."

ACE: Don't worry about it man.

Not everyone deals with things

in the same way.  This turned

out to not be your thing.

[ Ace sits down worried while

his friend grabs a tissue to 

wipe his eyes.

A second of silence passes

& is interrupted by Kyle

sneezing.  Acer smiles. ]

KYLE: I can't believe I'm

sitting here crying in your

office.

[ He starts to laugh a little. ]

ACE: You're fine.  I won't

say anything you know that.

KYLE: I've just been so busy

it's been put in the back of

my mind.  That sounds bad,

doesn't it?

[ Ace shakes his head, giv-

ing Kyle some minor relief. ]

SCENE SIX :

That night, at Kristyn's.

[ Kristyn & Hithe are lying on

the couch watching a movie. ]

KRISTYN: I wonder what it

must feel like to be one way

on the outside and completely

different inside.

[ Hithe makes a confused face. ]

HITHE: Are we watching the

same movie?

KRISTYN: Yes babe.  Just some-

thing I've been pondering on

today.  

HITHE: Well I don't know from

experience but I imagine it

would be quite hard.

KRISTYN: Yeah I bet.

[ She looks down but then brightens

up, climbing on top of Hithe. ]

HITHE: Hello.

[ They start kissing, ignoring the

movie entirely. ]
