Switchin Lanes (Part 2)

( Starring Pierre / Chais )

Early afternoon, poolside at Ryehl's.

[ Various TA members are scattered

around while Tila, Sascha, Madeline,

& Lorenzo are sipping drinks in the

water. ]

"This was a nice surprise."

[ Lorenzo smiles, placing his glass

down nicely into his inflatable. ]

TILA: See I told you I wasn't lying.

This house, my man. The stories

are all real.

SASCHA: Very much.

[ She states, looking around at

the extensive backyard scenery. ]

LORENZO: They check out but I'd

still like to know more about Ryehl.

MADELINE: Yeah. Where did he run

off to?

TILA: He should be back soon.

  

Probably talking with one of

his work friends.

Inside the house.

[ Ryehl is staring at the mirror in

the long entrance hallway when

the front doorbell rings.

Startled, he jumps to answer it. ]

"Hey. Where's your suit?"

[ Pierre saunters inside. ]

"My bad.  Just came from a

big meeting downtown."

[ He follows Ryehl into a side

room. ]

RYEHL: You can change in here.

[ Walking out slowly, he leaves

the door slightly cracked.

Continuing to watch as Pierre

stands with his back to him

undressing to nothing. ]

Basement, the Simon house.

[ Chais is sitting on the couch

when a male enters the room

from a side door. ]

"You're late."

[ Chais starts in on him. ]

CHAIS: I'm trying to run a legit

operation here.  I can't have

motherfuckers thinking they

can just show up at any

[ He can barely get through his

words without bursting into

laughter. ]

FRIEND1: Yeah, yeah okay. I saw

your girl on the way in and

she didn't look to thrilled

with you.

I'm guessing that has some-

thing to do with this.

[ Chais exchanges a bag for his

friends cash. ]

CHAIS: Yeah, well I'm making

bank so she'll have to get over

it.  I may never have to fix a

car again.

FRIEND1: Cool.  Can I get a

water or something?

CHAIS: You don't wanna go

upstairs right now remember.

My dads are hosting a bare

butt bro day.

FRIEND1: You're fucking with

me.  That's a real thing?  I

gotta see this.

Meanwhile, upstairs in the kitchen.

[ A stitch free Ski is leaning up against

the counter, beer in hand & talking

to Caleb (who is equally stitch free)

on an island stool. ]

"What the hell is wrong with you?"

CALEB: It's nothing.

SKI: Come on. You're not your

normal, chaotic, hyped self.

Don't tell me you've calmed down

now that you're in a "serious

relationship".

[ He teases & Caleb looks down.]

SKI: Oh no.  What happened?

CALEB: Last night did. I may have
screwed up already.

[ He grabs Ski's beer, finishing the

last few swigs before he can grab

it back from him. 

Just in time, Mark comes in from

around the corner. ]


Back at Riehl's, outside.

[ Tiesun approaches Weis & Stuu
lounging in a chair together with
Larrie standing up in front of them
holding a drink. ]

"Not feeling the BBBD today?"

[ She laughs, sitting by the couple. ]

TIESUN: And you.

[ She gets cold pointing at Larrie. ]

TIESUN: I'm surprised you're here
at a social event the way you've
been freezing everyone out lately.
LARRIE: I'm not freezing anyone
out.  I've just been busy.

STUU: Busy doing what?

[ Stuu questions behind his shades. ]

LARRIE: Trying to get a life.

[ He shoots back. ]

LARRIE: Its gets tiring being in 
the middle of everyone else's.

TIESUN: Oh yeah?

[ Tiesun stands & playfully pushes
her friend into the pool.  

He comes up fast, ripping off his
open dress shirt. ]

LARRIE: Yes.  And speaking of
I have to get going because
I have a date tonight.

[ Picking up his bag from the ground
he leaves them for inside the 
house. ]


Much later, inside.

[ Ryehl, Tila, Pierre, Sascha, Madeline
& Lorenzo are lounging in the living
room, still drinking.

Everyone else is talking while Pierre
engages Lorenzo in a shirtless man
tussle on the floor. ]


[ Ryehl watches intrigued downing
some Tequila. ]

PIERRE: I'm pinning your ass down
this time.  I've been lifting extra
just for this occasion.

[ He eyes Lorenzo hard as they stand
facing each other ready to pounce. ]

LORENZO: That's never happened.

[ He grabs Pierre and lifts him up,
tossing him on the ground but
he gets right back up.

Going for Lorenzo legs with a tight
grip he able to finally get him
down. ]

TILA: Hey. Why don't you guys
chill?  We don't want anything
to get broken in here.

[ They stop & join the others. ]

RYEHL: Actually I have a much
better idea.

[ He looks at Tila. ]

RYEHL: Why don't we take this
action into the bedroom?

Me and Tila are open.

[ Pierre looks up surprised
& the room goes silent. ]

MADELINE: Well, we're not.

In fact. We should probably
head out.  

[ Madeline & Lorenzo leave.  Pierre
& Sascha follow Riehl & Tila into 
their bedroom. ]


Back at the Simon's.

[ Chais is in the basement living
room counting his earnings for 
the day when Jenni walks in. ]

CHAIS: Hey babe. How was work?

JENNI: Long.  The kids were extra
rowdy today it seems.

How was your day?

CHAIS: Great. I've already made
back the money I've spent on green
and still have enough to sell.

I should be making a decent
profit for my first time.
JENNI: That's good I guess.  I'm
just worried about your dads.
CHAIS: Don't be.  They will not
find out. I'm being extremely
careful.

JENNI: I hope so. I wish you
hadn't of given up so fast with
the car repairs.

You could've made something
out of that.

CHAIS: I still can.  But right now
we need money.  Especially if
we're even going to get out of
the basement.

You'll see.  It will all be worth
it when we're out of here.

Trust me.

[ He smiles & they start to kiss.

Jenni takes his hand & leads
him into their back room. ]


Ryehl & Tila's bedroom.

[ Ryehl is sitting on the bed in
boxer briefs while Tila is kissing
him all over in her bathing
suit. 

Pierre & Sascha are similarly 
dressed but standing up kissing
also while Ryehl watches.

He takes out his phone. Pointing
it at them & the light comes on. ]


RYEHL: Do you guys mind?

PIERRE: No its cool. I've always
wanted to watch myself.

[ Sascha shakes her head
confirming.  Ryehl moves
his attention over to Tila.

He slowly removes her top
with his teeth.  She stands 
taking off the bottoms while
he wriggles out of his. ]


[ Pierre & Sascha come closer
to them still kissing & touching
each other all over. He undresses
her.

Pierre feels a hand on his hip
as his shorts are soon falling
to the ground. Ryehl gives him
a firm slap to the ass. 

RYEHL: Nice!

[ He states zooming in on them &
then focusing on him and Tila.  

Soon both couples are enthralled
in each other.  Hands and body
parts spread everywhere on the
bed but still keeping with their
partners until Ryehl break the ice
even further. 

Pushing Pierre down, he climbs
on top of him and aggressively
plants one on his lips. ]

RYEHL: Ever done that before?

[ Pierre goes silent. Gives him
a quick harsh look & goes 
back to Sascha. ]

I Can & I Will

scene one:

Inside TA Salon.

[ Kristyn, Hithe, Acer, & Mark

are sitting in the break room

enjoying a Chinese lunch. ]

"So it finally happened."

[ Everyone looks up at Hithe

while Kristyn makes an 'I told

you so face'. ]

MARK: What?  I'm confused.

KRISTYN: He caught H this morn-

ing.  With a new friend.

HITHE: Thank you.  That would

be the best way to put it.

[ Acer cracks, holding back while

Mark looks surprised. ]

MARK: No way. Not at my house.

KRISTYN: Mine either. Not like

that is going to stop them though.

HITHE: Exactly.  And H has been

... active since before he came

to me.  Otherwise things would

be different.

ACER: I didn't know you were

allowed to do that in a group

home.

[ Mark, Kristyn, & Hithe exchange

glances while Acer waits. ]

HITHE: You're not.

scene two:

Near downtown.

[ Pierre & his co-workers are

wrapping up their final day

of construction. ]

PIERRE: Has anyone seen the

boss?

RUDY: Really, you expect him to

show up on the last day.  That

man has never cleaned anything

in his life.

PIERRE: You're right.  What was I

thinking?

RUDY: In fact, you pretty much do

everything around here anyway

when it comes down to it.

[ Pierre takes a seat, pondering

the compliment but not in full

belief. ]

PIERRE: I'm just an assistant man.

Dave finds the projects.  He's

the leader.

RUDY: Anyone can do that and

walk away.  But who makes sure

everyone is where they need to

be with everything they need.

[ Rudy sits down next to him. ]

PIERRE: That would be me.

RUDY: And you don't need Dave

for that.  Hell, you don't really

need anyone.  

My advice.  Go independent.

scene three:

Later inside The Aisles.

[ Kristyn is tidying her area in the

floral department when she sees

a customer lingering near her

work station. ]

"Afternoon.  Is there something

in particular you're looking for?

[ The stranger's clothes are dirty

and torn.

He doesn't speak, just walks away

toward the bathroom. ]

"Manager to floral."

[ Kristyn hangs up her phone &

is shaken when she turns around

to see Syria standing there. ]

SYRIA: Sorry.  Is everything okay?

KRISTYN: Yeah I'm fine.  How are

things going up front?

SYRIA: Busy busy.  

[ Hahn arrives & Syria leaves.  He

smiles at Kristyn. ]

HAHN: How can I help you?

KRISTYN: You see that guy stand-

ing by the far right doors?

[ Hahn quickly looks & nods. ]

KRISTYN: Keep an eye on him.

scene four:

At Pierre & Sascha's.

[ Pierre is taking advantage of

some alone time.

Stretched out on the couch with 

his laptop, he does a search for

independant contractors. ]

"I could do this."

[ He starts to think to himself.

Satisfied for now, he lays down

excited to tell someone the news. ]

[ Much later, Sascha arrives home.

Seeing Pierre sound asleep on the

couch, she grabs a feather from

a living room table and walks over.

Lightly she tickles his nose with

it until he wakes up. ]

"Hey. I'm glad you're home."

[ Pierre sits up right away. ]

PIERRE: I got something very impor-

tant to tell you.

[ Sascha looks a little concerned,

sitting closer to him. ]

PIERRE: I decided I'm no longer

working with Dave.  Today was

my last day.

scene five:

[ End of shift, Kristyn is waiting to

leave when Mairya enters the

store.

She is shocked to see the same

guy from earlier, slightly more

clean & trailing after her daugh-

ter.  Not thinking she charges

over to them. ]

"What is going here?"

[ Kristyn looks over to see a cus-

tomer staring at her. ]

"Excuse me."

[ She hustles Mairya off to the

side. ]

MAIRYA: Good job Mom.

KRISTYN: This isn't a joke. We

just got finished talking about

your behavior.

MAIRYA: Yeah.  You told me

you just wanted to be inform

-ed.  So here he is.

[ Kristyn stands in silence as

Mairya bring over her new

friend. ]

KRISTYN: Nice to meet you.

Does he need a ride home?

[ She hints to her daughter but

it goes lost with her agenda. ]

MAIRYA: Yeah.  About that.

scene six: 

"You don't think I can do this."

SASCHA: No I just didn't expect

it.  You've been working with him

for so long.  And this is going to

take a lot of work.

PIERRE: I know but I was talking

to Rudy and he got me really

thinking.  

SASCHA: Rudy huh, what does

he know about it?

PIERRE: Don't worry, I did my rea-

search and I'm going to find out

more.

Trust me.  This is a good idea.

[ Sascha stays silent. ]

PIERRE: Better pay. Better opportuni

-ties for us and our future.

 I can see it now.

[ He sits back. Taking a swig off

his can of brew, then kisses Sascha

firmly on the lips. ]

A Change: Part Two

 SCENE ONE: 
Next Day, Inside the Salon.

[ Lorenzo yawns, following
Karie into the break room. ]

"Out all night again?  I don't
see how you do it."

[ Lorenzo rolls his eyes but
she doesn't see. ]

LORENZO: Yeah.  Pierre's a
bar hopper, what can I say.

[ He peers at Karie & she
beams back at him. ]

LORENZO: You said you didn't
stay at Acer's last night.  So
what happened?
KARIE: Nothing.  I just got
tired of the way he was
acting all day so I went out
to dinner then stayed with
my sister.

LORENZO: You ate out alone?
KARIE: No Sascha came too.
LORENZO: I see.  Sounds fun.

KARIE: Well I have an appoint-
ment coming in soon.  See ya
later.

[ Karie walks out, leaving Lorenzo
shaken by the ease of her de-
ceit.  Sascha later joins him
at the table. ]


 SCENE TWO : 
Later, at The Aisles.

[ A hooded young man is seen
walking slowly through Aisle 9

He comes up behind Brian &
Airynn who are stocking the
shelves. ]

BRIAN: If we're going to a
movie then I'm picking it
out.  You man, have very
horrid taste.

[ Airynn acts surprised by this
while Brian continues. ]

BRIAN: I'm serious. 

[ Brian turns around, now noti-
cing the stranger moving small
boxes into his bag. ]

BRIAN: I wouldn't do that if
I we're you. There's cameras
everywhere.  

[ After being ignored, Brian &
Airynn approach the male. He
starts to run but is stopped
by Airynn, who also strips off
his mask. ]

AIRYNN: Are you serious?

BRIAN: You weren't suppose 
to do that.

[ He looks around. ]

AIRYNN: It's Mark son.  Still
mad cuz you got kicked out
on your ass?
CHAIS: Fuck off dude.
AIRYNN: I thought you would-
've learned from the first time
you got caught here.

[ He pretends he's walking to
the manager's office but instead
turns around, heading to the
break room. ]

BRIAN: I know you have issues
with Mark, but just go home.

It's not worth all this.  And
put the stuff back. 


 SCENE THREE :
Meanwhile, near the Bakery.

[ Charles and Sandie are sitting
in the cafe area. ]

SANDIE: Is this another one of
your games?  I can't believe
Brodie would say something
like that.

CHARLES: Well he did.  That
kid is not the angel you think.
He should stay away from 
here.
SANDIE: Oh. I'm not worried
one bit.

[ Charles looks away from 
her. ]

CHARLES: Maybe you should
be.  The look he gave me
was pure psycho. 
SANDIE: I'm scared, really.  

[ She laughs, ignoring his haste. ]

SANDIE: Listen, I have to get
back to work.  

[ Sandie leaves, & Hahn replaces
her. ]

HAHN: So.  How was your date
with Brodie?

[ Charles buries his head in his
hands, then looks up suddenly. ]

CHARLES: I'm telling you.  He is
up to no good.


    SCENE FOUR : 
Back at the Salon.

[ Lorenzo is talking to
Sascha near her station. ]

"I was home last night."

LORENZO: Yeah that's what
I figured.  I've known Karie
for five years, can't believe
she would lie to my face
like that.

[ He looks frustrated. ]

SASCHA: I don't get it.  She's
acting like a different person.

[ Outside the door, Karie is
shown listening through
 a small opening. ]

LORENZO: Let's just let it go.
If she wants to be devious,
that's her business I guess.

KARIE: That's a good idea.

[ They look stunned to see
her standing in front of them. ]

KARIE: I didn't know this turned
into a place for trashy gossip.
SASCHA: Come on.  We're your
friends.
LORENZO: Why did you lie to
me?  I saw you out last night.

[ Karie stays silent. then states
in an angry manner. ]

KARIE: When it comes to me
and Ace from now on.

Stay out of it!


 SCENE FIVE : 
Class time, inside Bakery.

[ Sandie is setting up when
Brodie arrives, eagar to help
as usual. ]

"I'm fine.  You can just sit
until it starts please."

BRODIE: Alright then.

[ He takes a seat while
Sandie sits down some
pans on the table in front
of him. ]

BRODIE: That's looks great.
What's inside the dough?

[ Sandie smiles. ]

SANDIE: It's a secret.

[ She disappears from view
into the back kitchen area.

After awhile, Brodie jumps
up & takes out a small
bottle from his pocket.

He generously pours the liquid
out, Emptying the bottle
he watches it evaporate
inside the dough. ]

SANDIE: What are you doing?

[ Brodie stands back. ]

BRODIE: Sorry.  I will wait
until class.

[ He sits back down. ]


  SCENE SIX : 
After a long day.

[ Karie arrives home to see
her stuff is packed and wait
-ing for her near the door.

She walks over to Acer who
is watching TV in the living
room with Mark. ]

KARIE: You didn't even have
the decency to do this alone.
ACE: If you want to talk
finally, I'll come out there.

[ In the hallway. ]

KARIE: Nice for you to go off
someone else.
ACE: I didn't have to.  I went
down there myself.  Imagine
what it felt like seeing you
with another man, laughing
and pretending everything
was normal.

KARIE: It's better then being
around someone who holds me
back.
ACER: Oh really.  Says the girl
whose working in my Salon.  
How long did it take you
to cheat?

KARIE: It doesn't matter. What-
ever I say, you've already de-
cided what's reality.  I've been
wasting my time anyway.

[ She walks out, dragging her bags
one-by-one as Acer tries not to
watch. ]



 SCENE SEVEN : 
Class is wrapping up.

[ Sandie is sitting back
as the students are tasting
the bread they just baked.

Brodie walks up to her. ]

BRODIE: Thanks for the tips.

I'll see you next week.  
SANDIE: Alright.  Tell me
what your manager says
about that equipment
when you find out.

BRODIE: Will do.

[ He sneaks away but is only
hiding around the corner. 

Sandie looks up to see the
students bent over, holding
onto their stomachs. ]

SANDIE: Are you guys alright?

[ She recieves a violent answer
when all of the students start
to hurl onto the floor in front
of her. ]

SANDIE: Oh my god.

[ Sandie is too busy assisting
the sick people to notice that
Brodie is taking picture after
picture from his phone. ]

BRODIE: This will be good.
