Before The Finale . . . . . .

SCENE 1:

The Aisles, overnight shift.

[ Stuu, Tiesun, & Larrie are chat-

ting in the back break room. ]

STUU: It's been four months

exactly since Airynn basically

vanished from Magic Springs.

[ Larrie sighs, heavily. ]

LARRIE: Not this again bro.

Airynn is not missing.  He's just

trying to get attention anyway

he can.  It's kind of sad really.  

TIESUN: At least when he was

showing up on the news we

had some idea.  And now?

LARRIE: You're concerned? After

experiencing his antics first 

hand I'd think you'd know 

better.

[ He walks out of the room. ]

TIESUN: So what happened

when you told Weis about

the kiss?

STUU: It blew over.  Pretty

fast to my surprise.  

TIESUN: That's good.  You're

new as it is.  Don't wanna

throw fighting into the mix.

STUU: Yeah I know.  I want

to keep having fun with him.

TIESUN: And what about Joh?

STUU: He's just a friendly 

drunk.  We all know that.

TIESUN: Yeah but are you

sure that's it?  

SCENE 2:

Outside, near the school yard.

[ Mairya is walking toward an

abandoned building, looking

around she opens the door. ]

MAIRYA: See I told you it was

never locked.  

[ A young male follows her inside. ]

MAIRYA: You wanted to smoke

right?  I'll keep an eye out.

[ She stands by the door. ]

CALEB: You sure? I can't afford

to get kicked off the team.

MAIRYA: We're not gonna get

caught.

[ She comes closer, kissing Caleb for

 reassurance & he lights up.  Seconds 

later, he starts to cough. ]

MAIRYA: You okay?

CALEB: Yeah, it's just a side effect.

I thought you we're gonna join

me.

[ They jump when there's a sudden,

powerful knock outside the door. 

Mairya opens it & Caleb stands

back. ]

MAIRYA: Hey.  What is it?

SCENE 3:

Night before, The Aisles.

[ Stuu is walking around, look-

ing for Joh. ]

STUU: I know the store is big

but you can't hide from me.

[ Joh takes his earphones out

& puts down the box he was

stocking. ]

JOH: Sorry.  I've just been 

doing a lot of thinking to

myself lately.

STUU: About what?

[ Stuu comes over standing

face to face with him. ]

JOH: Maybe I kissed you

for a reason.  I mean, I've

only had one girlfriend.

Barely have any "sexual"

experience at 22.

STUU: So? I have none.

That doesn't mean you're

gay man.   

JOH: Yeah I know.

STUU: It's just a label anyway.

Just do you Joh and don't

worry about it.  I wouldn't.

JOH: Thanks.

STUU: No problem. See you

later.

SCENE 4:

Back outside the school.

[ Little H. comes inside & Mairya

shuts the door behind him. ]

LITTLE H: It's almost time for class

to start.  What are you doing out 

here.

MAIRYA: Just hanging out.  You 

know Caleb, right?

LITTLE H: Yeah, hey.

[ Caleb gives a half smile while

continuing to smoke.  He hands

the joint to Mairya. ]

LITTLE H: You're smoking?

MAIRYA: It's just one hit, it's fine.

Makes class a lot less boring.

LITTLE H: I guess.

CALEB: You want some?

LITTLE H: No, I'm good.

MAIRYA: I'm gonna go find

Trailyn.  You two try not to

kill each other while I'm gone.

[ She sprays herself with perfume

& then exits.  Caleb walks up

to H, getting in his face. ]

LITTLE H: What's your problem?

CALEB: You.  Getting in my

way with Mairya.

LITTLE H: We we're friends first

and I'm not going anywhere.

So you better just get use to

me.

SCENE 5:

Back inside TA.

[ Stuu & Zain are smashing boxes

and throwing them into the baler. ]

ZAIN: You're pretty quiet.  Has

the night been that bad?

STUU: No.  I just got a strange

text though from an unknown

number.

ZAIN: Really?  Let me see.

[ Stuu hands him his phone. ]

ZAIN:  I'm on my way to TA.

Can you meet me outside?

STUU: That's all they sent.

ZAIN: Maybe it's your man

playing a prank on you.  Or

Lee?

STUU:  I don't think so.  I have

both of their numbers.  

ZAIN: Everyone else is here.

[ They are interrupted by banging

on the back door.  Stuu looks at

Zain & then starts to walk over.

Opening the door, he stands back

a little in shock at who walks in. ]

AIRYNN: Dude, I need your help.

It's about Brian.

SCENE 6:

[ Mairya & Trailyn are walking

after class. ]

MAIRYA: I've been waiting for

a whole period.  So what do you

think about Caleb?

[ Trailyn shakes her head. ]

TRAILYN: I don't know.  He does

have this tough guy attitude

some times.

MAIRYA: You think?  He's always

been nice to me.

TRAILYN: So what happened to H

he never showed up?

MAIRYA: Not sure.  He didn't 

reply to my texts either.

[ Looking toward the abandoned

building, she sees a big guy

standing at the door.

Thinking, she runs over. ]

MAIRYA: What is going on?

Let me in!  H, are you okay?

H! 

[ She continues to yell as the

guy stands silent, blocking

her from the entrance. ]

" Downtown Loud "

SCENE 1: Open back room, TA.

[ Landyn is sitting down when Kyle peaks

his head in from around the corner. ]

LANDYN: Get in here. Ya freak!

[ Kyle laughs loudly. ]

KYLE: Don’t tell me you guys

finally wrapped today.

LANDYN: Yes! After tons of

treatments, re-takes, and three

grueling months of Mark’s

mouth, we’re done.

Tonight it goes to corporate.

Man, its rough pleasing that

guy!

KYLE: My feelings exactly.

[ Kyle gets behind the camera &

points it at Landyn.  Taking the

DVD out, he replaces it with a

blank one. ]

LANDYN: What are you doing?

KYLE: Wanna shoot something

a lot more interesting?

[ From behind the camera. . . ]

“So Landyn, you got out of rehab

shortly before coming here.  In fact,

you left a couple of weeks early.

With the new pressure’s you’ve

had in the last few months,

tell me, do you ever get the

urge to use again?

SCENE 2: Living room, Jeszyca &

Larrie’s apartment.

[ Larrie is sitting on the couch

when Jeszyca walks over to him

putting her bags down on the

floor. ]

JESZYCA:  Another date night? After

the first two I swear you would

have sworn off women for good.

[ Larrie laughs. ]

LARRIE: So the first one assaulted

me with her purse. And the last

didn’t bother to show.  I still have

some hope left.    

JESZYCA: I see.  Well, you’re braver

than most. Like the way you saved

me from having to face work.

LARRIE: I just asked Ski to move

your vacation.  Thankfully we have

a pretty naive boss.  Could you

imagine if that guy came back?

JESZYCA: I know, right.  Well, I need

to get going.  It’s a three hour drive

to my parents.   

   Have a good time tonight!  I’ll see

you on Sunday.

[ Jeszyca grabs her things & leaves/

Larrie gets up from his seat, checking

his cell phone for the time. ]

[ 15 minutes later a stretch limo pulls

up to Larrie’s building as he’s staring

through the lobby glass.  A dark window

lowers slowly, revealing his date inside. ]

SCENE 3: Meanwhile, in Landyn’s car.

[ Racing towards downtown, Landyn

takes a sudden right and his bag

hits the floor, spilling out DVDs. ]

“Mother ****!!!”

[ Pulling into a space, he grabs a

marked disc and heads toward

the hotel banquet room. ]

[ Inside Mark is standing while

his boss Jim and some other execs

are seated and waiting.  Landyn

hurries in. ]

MARK: There he is!

[ He hands Mark the DVD.   Landyn

shuts off the lights & waits in the

back. His immense excitement turns

when he sees what is on screen. ]

“Do you ever get the urge to use again?”

[ Before he can answer the question

Mark shuts it off.  Excusing themselves,

Landyn follows him to the hall. ]

MARK: I’m not even gonna ask you

what the hell that was.  Just find

the right DVD before we lose

everything.

SCENE 4: Inside the limo, Larrie’s date.

[ Larrie is sipping his champagne

while his older date sits closer to

him. ]

LARRIE: Thanks for picking me up. 

I’ve never been on such a fancy

date.  Hope I don’t do anything

to embarrass you.

CORA: You’re cute.  And don’t

worry about anything dear.

Just be yourself, completely.

[ Larrie smiles, finishing his glass

now, he gazes into Cora’s deep

blue eyes. ]

LARRIE: Where are we headed

exactly?

CORA: Well, if you’re wanting to

know me personally, the best

way really is to see how I live.

I mean, unless you rather go

somewhere more pubic.

LARRIE: No, no.  That works fine

for me.

[ She kisses him quick & pours

him another glass of wine. ]

[ A short while later they arrive

at a three story house.  Cora,

smoothing out her dress, steps

out to meet her assistant. ]

“He’s out cold.  Go and drag

him inside.“

SCENE 5: Outside the Banquet Room. 

[ Mark is pacing back and forth. ]

LANDYN: I got the right one.

Calm down, I’m sure they’re in

there watching it right now.

MARK: Yeah, or maybe they

decided to replay your little

mistake.

What was that anyway?

LANDYN: I don’t know. Kyle

just started filming and I went

with it. 

MARK: Yeah, Kyle.

[ He starts to walk away & before

Mark can get too far, Jim comes

through the doors. ]

  LANDYN: What did they say?

JIM: Well, I have good news

 and maybe not so good news.

MARK: What’s good?

JIM: Everyone loved your commercial.

The TA message shined through and

was better than we originally planned.

MARK: So, what’s the bad?

JIM: The TA experience was golden

but they want Landyn to tell

his story of recovery and how

you helped him get back into

the workforce in your next one.

LANDYN: Excuse me?

SCENE 6: Basement, Cora’s place.

[ Larrie slowly opens his eyes.

In a haze, he first notices he’s

in a dark room.  Coming to a little

more, he tries to move but his

hands & feet are tied together.

Moving around, he can see the

opposite wall & realizes he

is suspended in air. ] 

“Ahhh! Help me!!!”

“HELP!!!”

[ He continues to yell, louder

& longer for minutes 

but no one answers. ]
