SCENE 1

[ Chais & Jenni are laying on

the couch together while Billy

is doing laps around it. ]

CHAIS: Dude, chill out

before Ski comes down

here bitching.

[ Billy returns to the couch. ]

BILLY:  Sorry but all of a

sudden I have this crazy

energy around me.

I can’t stop moving.

[ He starts shaking his leg. ]

JENNI: Maybe you should

have talked to his parents

before messing with his

meds.

BILLY: I can hear you.  And

they're always saying I should

take it right.

So I did.  Anyways, I’m gonna

head home.  Be back later.

[ Billy runs out the door as Chais

brother comes downstairs looking

around. ]

JAI:  I swear, I heard cattle in

here just a second ago.

CHAIS: Yeah that was just Billy.

High off his ass.

[ Chais laughs while everyone

else looks concerned. ]

SCENE 2

At Weis’ apartment. . .

[ People are lining up down

the driveway outside. ]

“You all ready for the auditions?”

WEIS: Yeah, I can’t believe

so many showed up.  Its

just a local band.  Now

I know we’ll find someone.

So, what are you gonna

do for two hours?

JOH: I’m gonna go see

what Stuu is up to.

WEIS: Cool, cool.  Well,

LeeVigh should be back

any time now to start.

JOH: I’m surprised you

got him to join you.

Ever since he got that

promotion.  He’s been

all about work.

WEIS: Yeah, I know.  That’s

why this will be a good thing.

Plus he’s a bad ass drummer.

JOH: Someone's here!

[ LeeVigh pulls into the drive

& parks his car, walking inside. ]

“You weren’t kidding about the

all day thing!”

SCENE 3

Back at Chais’ place.

CHAIS: Now that we’re alone.

I think we should talk.

[ Jenni sits up & looks at

Chais. ]

JENNI: About Billy?

CHAIS: No.  About that guy

I saw you talking to when

I picked you up earlier.

JENNI: Okay.  His name is

Juan.  He’s a new bagger.

What else would you like

to know?

CHAIS: I don’t know.  It seems

like he was flirting with you.

Do I need to talk to this guy?

[ Jenni gets off of Chais. ]

JENNI: No.  Do you not trust me?

Most guys flirt. It's nothing.

CHAIS: Babe, it’s not that.

JENNI: Okay then.  Don’t worry.

Everyone knows I have a

boyfriend.  At school too.

[ She kisses Chais & he starts

to relax. ]

SCENE 4

[ Weis & LeeVigh are standing

behind a table as various male

musicians stand up to perform.

They give feedback right away. ]

WEIS: I’m sorry.  We didn’t feel

like it was enough.

[ The guy starts to walk away as

they whisper. ]

LEEVIGH: He was pretty good.

WEIS: I don’t think so.

Next one please!

[ After another hour of bad

auditions according to Weis,

LeeVigh pulls his band mate

aside. ]

LEEVIGH: I think you should

relax a little.  I mean some

of those guys could have worked.

WEIS: I just want the band to

work well together.  I know it

when I see it.

[ Suddenly Joh returns & he’s

not alone. ]

STUU: Hey guys, are you still

doing auditions?

SCENE 5

[ Chais & Jenni are watching

a movie when her phone

goes off. ]

CHAIS: Want me to pause it?

JENNI: No, it’s just a text.  I

can answer it later.

[ She quickly glances at it

& then puts it away. ]

CHAIS: Who was that?

[ Jenni looks up at him. ]

CHAIS: What? I’m just curious.

It was Juan, wasn’t it?

I can’t believe you gave

him your number.

JENNI: Calm down, he’s just

a friend.

CHAIS: Listen babe, I don’t

want you to talk to him.

He seems like a creep.

JENNI:  Well, I’m sorry you

fell that way but you do

not get to decide who my

friends are.

[ She stands up, facing Chais. ]

JENNI: I’m just gonna go.  See

you at school tomorrow.

CHAIS: You’re serious? 

[ She walks out the door

leaving him standing there. ] 

SCENE 6

“Hell no!

Absolutely not!”

STUU: Look, I know I haven’t

exactly gotten along with

either of you at points.

JOH: But he wrote a song.

And I think you should

hear it.

WEIS: Alright fine.

[ Weis & LeeVigh return to

the table.  With everyone else

gone, Stuu takes his position in

front of the mic, guitar in his hand.

He strums a few soft chords and then

powers into a mid-tempo love song. ]

Standing there, watching as Stuu digs

deep into his emotions.  Weis can’t

help but stare. ]

LEEVIGH: Alright, okay.

[ He puts his hand up. ]

LEEVIGH: What do you think?

WEIS: As much as I may regret

this later, I think we found

our 3^rd member.

Congratulations, I guess.

SCENE 1:

Outside Cedar Brick complex.

[ LeeVigh & Joh are sitting in the

back of Joh’s truck, ]

“Dude, I can’t believe you won

those tickets.  I’ve heard Minihaha

resort is awesome!”

LEEVIGH: Yeah, I know.  Too bad Weis

can’t come.

JOH: He’s taking this therapy thing

very seriously though.  I’m proud

of him.

LEEVIGH: Me too. Our little Weis-Lee 

is all grown up.

[ They start to laugh when Marisa

approaches from inside.  Sitting down

her bags, she retreats to Joh’s lap. ]

MARISA: You think Tie and Stuu have

forgiven you for setting them up on

that fake video shoot?*

LEEVIGH:  Hopefully, considering the whole

thing blew up in my face and they we’re

actually praised for it.  The frat loved

the exposure, not to mention their names

are all around town thanks to me.

JOH: I doubt Stuu will see it that way.

LEEVIGH: Well, consider this one hell

of a makeup gesture.

[ Suddenly a car screeches toward them,

coming to a stop, & Airynn gets out. ]

“Beer anyone?”

SCENE 2:

At Mark & Ski’s house.

[ Chais is laying in bed with the

door open when Ski walks in. ]

CHAIS: This grounding crap is

killing me.

SKI:  Maybe next time you’ll

think before taking stuff

that isn’t yours.

CHAIS: It's been three days.

I think I know not to steal

by now.

SKI: Since you have so much

time. Get up and clean your

room.  And I’ll be right in

living room. 

[ Chais smirks at him. ]

Don’t even think about it!

[ Chais throws a pillow in the

doorway barely missing Ski

walking out. 

He gets out his phone, dialing

his best friend. ]

CHAIS: You have to help

get me out of here. 

SCENE 3:

Inside Joh’s truck.

[ Leevigh & Airynn are talking

while Joh drives. ]

LEEVIGH: So, your exes would rather

ride with each other than you.  That’s

rich.

AIRYNN: I’m the Devil.  Didn’t I tell you?  

LEEVIGH: And you see how fast Stuu

volunteered to drive.

I must not be any better.

[ They both chug at their beers. ]

JOH: We’re almost at the entrance.

Get rid of those cans. 

[ A little while later, LeeVigh, Marisa, Joh,

Tiesun, Stuu, & Airynn are all relaxing

outside near the backyard lake.

Tiesun & Stuu are eating fruit and

talking away from the others. ]

TIESUN: What are you looking at

so hard?

[ Stuu turns away. ]

STUU: Nothing.  You look nice.

TIESUN: Thank you.

[ She stands up & turns around

as Stuu notices LeeVigh’s sly

gaze in her direction. ]

SCENE 4:

Still in Chais’ bedroom.

[ After finding out Billy is grounded

as well, Chais is about to give up

when he hears a knock on his window.

Opening it up, he is surprised to

see Jenni waving at him. ]

JENNI: You could help me in.

CHAIS: Oh yeah, sorry.

Did you really just climb

all the way up here?

[ Jenni comes in & sits on the bed. ]

JENNI: I did.  And I brought you

food.

CHAIS: If this is what a date is like,

I could get use to it.

JENNI: Its not.  Your suppose to

be doing this for me. 

[ She ruffles Chais’ hair a little ]

JENNI: And what else did you

imagine for our time here?

CHAIS: I thought, I better at

least get to make out with

you.

JENNI: You’re funny.

SCENE 5:

Back at Minihaha Resort.

[ Everyone is hanging out,

except for Stuu who is

pacing back & forth by the

picnic tables.

Meanwhile, LeeVigh is talking

to Tiesun. ]

LEEVIGH: Can I ask you something?

TIESUN: Sure, what’s up?

[ She moves a little closer. ]

LEEVIGH: Are you dating Stuu?

Not being nozy, just the way he

acts around you sometimes.

TIESUN: Nope, we're just friends. 

[ Her eyes meet with LeeVigh’s

& they don’t notice Stuu walk

up.  Casually he walks into

LeeVigh. ]

“My bad, bro.”

[ Stuu keeps walking past

them & toward the lake.

LeeVigh runs to catch up

to him. ]

LEEVIGH: If this is about

Tie, just say that. 

[ Stuu doesn’t turn around,

stumbling he can barely keep

his balance on the edge.

As Stuu slowly falls into the

water, LeeVigh starts to panic. ]

SCENE 6:

[ Chais and Jenni are watching

a movie in his bedroom. ]

JENNI: Well, I better leave

before you get in trouble.

CHAIS: Yeah, but didn’t we

forget something.

[ Jenni laughs. ]

JENNI: Oh yeah.  I’m such

a silly girl.

[ She bends down over Chais’

bed and gives him a hug. ]

JENNI: Bye.

[ She makes her way to the

window, then turns around.

Chais sits up in bed  smiling

at her. ]
