Monica & Kyle's house.

[ Trailyn, Mairya, & Jenni are

sitting in the living room. ]

"This is amazing!"

[ Jenni calls from the hall after

eyeing Trailyn's shiny, but subtle

orange performance dress.

She joins them on the sofa. ]

TRAILYN: You don't think it's

too much? 

JENNI: Not at all. It's perfect.

TRAILYN: If this goes well

it could turn into a regular

thing for me there.

JENNI: That's exciting.

TRAILYN: So who all did you

invite?

MAIRYA: I'll be bringing Micaa,

H and Dean.

[ They both look at Jenni. ]

JENNI: Chais and Billy left this

morning on some mission out

of state.  I think they are staying

over night. 

But I should probably warn you

H may have invited Jai which

means my nonsense sis

will be tagging along.

MAIRYA: Oh great.  I'll be sure

to thank him for his lack of

common sense.

[ She looks over at her best friend. ]

MAIRYA: If you want me to bounce

her ass out of there, just give me

the word.

TRAILYN: No thanks.  I don't 

need the drama.  Anyway my

music is open to all.  Especially

cheating, lying snakes.

[ Trailyn holds out her phone,

scrolling through her lyrics. ]

TA, Back conference room.

[ Hiring manager Weis is sitting

down organizing resumes before

the event starts.

Checking his phone for the time,

he waits for his GM to show up. ]

[ A few minutes later, there's a knock

& the door opens.]

WEIS: Whoa, what are you doing

here?

[ Joh enters in similar dress with

a button up white shirt, pants

& a tie. ]

JOH: Last night, I was sitting in

my room catching up on my

favorite series when Mark 

emails me out of nowhere

saying they got last minute

tickets and are leaving in the

morning.

Conveniently I was already

scheduled.

[ He smiles, sitting down. ]

WEIS: Last minute my ass.  They

did that shit on purpose.

JOH: Yeah, I know.  That's why we

are going to stretch this double

time out as long as possible and

make the best out of our day.

And I know the sweetest way to 

start.

WEIS: You brought some?

JOH: Already rolled buddy.

WEIS: Let's go.  We have

to be back seated in fifteen

minutes.

[ They race to the employee lot

where Joh's car is parked.

Ten minutes later, they are freshly

sprayed & back inside sitting

in the open conference room. ]

WEIS: You were right.  It's way

too busy out there to do this

in the lobby area.

So who is going to be

outside doing check-ins?

[ Airynn peaks in from around

the corner. ]

AIRYNN: Morning losers.

JOH: Hey. Right on time.

WEIS: Yeah. Let's try to leave

my virginity story out of the

intros this time.*

[ Airynn laughs from the hall. ]

Highway passed Mirror city.

[ Billy is driving while Chais

is sitting, anxiously in the 

passenger seat. ]

"We need to hurry."

BILLY: Your parents won't be

back until tomorrow some

time.

Chill the hell out.

CHAIS: I know. But i want a

chance to circle these edibles

around before the weekend.

See if they actually sell.

BILLY: It's cool. We can bake

or whatever we need to do

all night.

CHAIS: And we'll have to store

everything downstairs.

BILLY: Did you make the list?

CHAIS: Yeah. It's on my phone.

BILLY: Honestly.  I'm surprised

you're making changes at all.

Things were going pretty well

so far.

CHAIS: It wasn't my choice.

BILLY: I see.  Well that's not

going to last long.

CHAIS: What is that suppose

to mean?

BILLY: Nothing.

[ He turns up the music.

Hours later, they pull into a

parking spot. ]

CHAIS: We good?

BILLY: Yeah, my cousin's inside.

I'll be waiting out here.

[ Chais leaves him & enters

the store. ]


Later that night.

[ Trailyn is sitting down back-
stage going over things with
her band.

Meanwhile; Mairya, Micaa,
Little H, Dean, & Jenni are
sitting at a table in front 
of the stage. ]

JENNI: This is nice.  I'm glad we
all could be here to support
her.
MAIRYA: Yeah it was.  Until
someone decided to invite
an enemy along.

LITTLE H: Really? It was an
innocent mistake.  They just
fell asleep together from
what I heard.

[ Mairya rolls her eyes at him. ]

JENNI: And Tray is over it.  It's
not her focus anymore.  So why
are  you still making it yours?

[ Mairya goes to speak but is
interrupted by the DJ calling
everyone to attention on the
mic.

After getting the crowd quiet,
he introduces Trailyn and she
walks out.  Taking her place
on a stool in the center. ]

[ She looks up in time to see
her ex Jai and Kaori walk in
& take a seat at a side table.

Unfazed, the music begins &
she starts to sing.  Staring
right at them. ]


Earlier that day, TA.

[ After hours of interviewing
& multiple decision made.

Weis & Joh are down to the
last three candidates going
for a produce position.

Zoie, Tomas, & Jadyn.  ]

"I think Jadyn is the best
qualified."

[ Weis breaks the silence. ]

JOH: Yeah you would.
WEIS: What? He had the most
relevant experience and he
was the most engaging.

JOH: He engaged in some-
thing alright.  Staring down
every inch of you.  He cleary
wanted some.
WEIS: Oh please.  I haven't
been physical with anyone since
I started dating Stuu.  Almost two 
years I honestly don't even 
think about that part of me 
now.
JOH: If you say so dude.  I mean,
it's not like you haven't been
busy taking care of Mila
and everything.

WEIS: Exactly.  I'm gonna go
piss and then we can tell
him and get out of here.

[ Weis walks in the bathroom
not noticing that Jadyn has
followed him and entered also.

Jadyn takes a stand right next
to him. He sits back some. Unzips
his pants & slowly begins to
urinate looking over at Weis.

Weis is stone locked, keeping
his glance forward. ]

JADYN: Go ahead.  Look.


On Stage, 'All Ages'.

"Started as a simple
Conversation.

She was just another
Friendly face and--

[ Trailyn glances at Jai who
is now stalled from siping
his water glass.

The music gets intense &
the backup singers come
in. ]

"Wait let me take a sec

(To gather all the lies up)"

[ Dean is smirking at the
table while everyone else
but Mairya looks uncomfor-
table. 

Trailyn continues to expose
him, moving around the stage
as she hold out her notes. ]

"We were just sleeping.

It was just a kiss."

"But i know exactly how
she used her lips."

[ The song ends & she's pointing
through the stage crowd in Kaori's
direction.

Kaori sips at her drink.  Not ashamed,
she stands for verification.  Starting
the applause while Jai shrinks down
in his seat. ]

Tempt (N)ation

Scene One: Mid-afternoon TA.

[  Airynn is walking at a steady pace,

surveying over the front end when

he sees Scott checking for out-of-

dates. ]

"Why are you still here?"

SCOTT: I'm working a double cuz

Jack got fired this morning.

AIRYNN: Damn.  First Lisa leaves.

Now Jack.  What is going on here?

SCOTT: I don't know but since we

still haven't gotten an official pro-

duce manager I'm hoping Mark

would consider me.

[ Airynn makes a "yeah right"

face at Scott. ]

AIRYNN: Good luck with that

dude.  Anyway, are you still

seeing Lisa?

[ Scott goes back to his work.

Trying to ignore his question

but Airynn follows him. ]

AIRYNN: What happened?

SCOTT: Nothing.  I just don't

think it's gonna work out. I

mean, you know how I can

get.

AIRYNN:  You mean annoying,

all over the place. Irrational.

SCOTT: Yeah thanks man.  Lisa is

the complete opposite so may-

be we should just quit while

we're behind.  I can tell I

irritate her anyway.

AIRYNN: Don't be that way

Scott.  Just talk to her about it.  

Well I'd love to stay and chat

but I've been here long enough

as it is.

[ Leaving Scott, he walks through

the back doors.  Taking out his

phone, Airynn scrolls down his

contact list. Smiling sneakily

when he finds Lisa. ]

BRIAN: Hey, why are you creeping

around back here idiot?

[ He starts laughing after almost

hitting Airynn with the door. ]

AIRYNN: Just heading out.  Have fun.

Scene Two: At Amber/Dyminic's.

[ Amber & Ski are sitting down baby

wall decorations in the living room

when Hithe walks in. ]

"Paint's almost dry."

AMBER: Everything out here is done.

SKI: Yeah that didn't take long. Good

thing we decided to starting build-

ing out here.

HITHE: It was great, wasn't it?  And

whose idea was that again?

SKI: Aright we get it.  Back to what I 

was saying.

AMBER: Yeah. I'm worried about it

too.  When I was over the other

day he wouldn't even speak. That's

not like Jai.

SKI: I don't like how he is so

dependant on this one friend.  

He let things go with Trailyn.

Never talks to us or his bro-

thers. He's just absent.

AMBER: Hopefully the time he's

had to think actually did some

good.  

HITHE: If he's not talking to his

family.  Maybe he'll consider

talking to a professional.

SKI: So where did Mairya end-

ing up going?

HITHE: She and her newer boy

are staying with her older boy.

SKI: You mean Caleb?

HITHE: Yeah. He got emancipated.

SKI: Wow.  I wonder how he's

doing now.

[ Ski makes a face like he is off

into space, thinking. 

He returns to Amber & Hithe

staring at him. ]

SKI: Don't give me that look.

Caleb was a.  Nice guy.  

Scene Three: Outside the Simon's.

[ Hidden behind tinted windows, A'Myan 

is parked at the end of the block.  Jai gets

inside. ]

"Jesus. I've been sitting her for 20

minutes bro."

JAI: My bad.  I had to sit through one

more lecture before he let me go.  I

have to wait another week before I

can get my car back.

Go to the park.  It's closer.

[ A'Myan speedily drives off.  

Just a few minutes later. ]

AMYAN: They should of made your

ass get tested.

[ They sit parked in a corner of an

empty lot, in the shade. ]

JAI: They still could. We we're lucky

to get away with that shit.

AMYAN: You were right though.  Your

Dads never came outside to check.  

[ After Jai gets a satisfying hit, he

attempts to hand the pipe over to

his friend. ]

AMYAN: Go ahead.  I've already had

one.

JAI: My job is the only way I got

through these last few weeks.

AMYAN: I bet.  That's all I do is

work.  I have two jobs now. 

JAI: That must cut down on all

your time being a whore.

[ A'myan looks right at Jai. ]

AMYAN: Not if I don't sleep.

Scene Four: Later at Airynn's.

[ Airynn sees his brother Billy & a

stranger sitting down, watching

TV. ]

"Whoa. I didn't know you talked

to girls."

[ Billy rolls his eyes at him. ]

BILLY: So funny.  This is Ariel.

AIRYNN: Nice to meet you but

you two have to go upstairs

soon, I have somone coming

over.

BILLY: That's a first.  Consider-

ing you don't have any friends.

[ He laughs at the insult. ]

Joh can't even be bothered

with you anymore.

AIRYNN: Joh lives in bum fuck

Egypt.  And it's not your

business.

Just be gone in an hour.

[ He leaves them & goes to 

his back room.

Spread out on the bed he 

eagerly awaits her text back. ]


Scene Five: Back at Amber's.

[ After finishing their Chinese 
takeout, Ski & Hithe have left.

Amber is in the living room. 
Finishing up some cleaning
when Dyminic walks in. ]

DYMINIC: Can't believe that room
was empty this morning.  You three
did a great job.
AMBER: Thanks babe.  It seems like
just yesterday I was finding out I
was pregnant.

[ Dyminic leans over & kisses her
on the cheek. ]

AMBER: How was work?

DYMINIC: I had a pretty stress less
day actually.
Have you thought anymore about
what we talked about last night?
AMBER: I understand you think I
should take some extra time off
but I really believe I'll be fine.

[ Dyminic doesn't speak but Amber
can tell that her words have made
him tense. ]

DYMINIC: You should go with what
is recommended but at any rate
I'm just excited to get through
these last few weeks.
AMBER: Do you think we're ready?

DYMINIC: Of course.  You're going to
make the best mom this world has
ever seen.


Scene Six: Final Scene.

"I'm here."

[ After receiving Lisa's text, Airynn
waits alone in the room for her
to walk through the front door.

She joins him on the couch. ]

LISA: Not that it's not nice to
see you, but you mind finally
telling me what this is about?

AIRYNN: I wanted to talk to you
on behalf of Scott.  He's not 
exactly the smoothest guy
when it comes to dating.

Are you really into him?
I mean, all of him.
LISA: You're asking if I can
handle his personality?

If I couldn't, do you think
I would've started dating
him in the first place.

[ Airynn nods his head, fee-
ling a little foolish. ]

LISA: I worked with Scott
9 months.  I know him just
as well as you do.

[ Not realizing that Airynn has
moved his arm closer to her's.

Before he can connect, Airynn
shakes a vision of Scott
looking disappointed. ]

[ Placing his hand on Lisa
shoulder instead, Airynn clears
his throat. ]

AIRYNN: You should go.  And
stop by Scott's if you can.  

He'd really appreciate it.

[ He stands up, leaving her

alone in his living room. ]

3 Of A TA Kind ( Last6 )

Scene One :

[ Early morning.  Scott is eyeing
his bathroom window hard as
he strategically sculpts each
strand of his dark hair.

Satisfied now, he moves on to vig-
orously brushing.  Rolling around
each tooth.  ]

[ Rinsing out his mouth, he sets
the toothbrush down & begins
to fidget with his hair again. ]

"Your food's getting cold!"

SCOTT:  Yeah, I'm coming. 

[ Minutes later Scott joins his
Dad at the kitchen table. ]

SCOTTsDAD: Everything okay?

You're starting to take more
time in the bathroom then
your mother use to.

[ His Dad laughs at him. ]

SCOTT: I'm fine.  Just have to
look my best for the ladies so
I take my time.

[ He states, guiding the conver-
sation. ]

SCOTTsDAD: I see.
SCOTT: Yeah I have to go. I'm
meeting someone before work.

SCOTTsDAD: Okay.  Don't forget
about your.

[ His Dad starts to speak but Scott
has already left. ]

Scene Two :

[ Little H is alone at the kitchen
table when Hithe sits down his
plate, then another in front of
the seat next to him. ]

HITHE: You know I don't care
about the weekends.

[ H looks up & Hithe stops. ]

LITTLE H: Dean can't go home
right now.

All his parents do is remind
him over and over again of
his past behaviors.

They've even drove most of
his other relatives away
from him.

[ A rush of thoughts come to
Hithe's mind but he settles on 
one realization. ]

HITHE: That's sad.  Maybe I
should talk some sense
into them myself.

JR. DEAN: Morning guys.

[ Dean appears from the hall.

 He smiles, taking a place near
his omelette & homemade
waffles. ]

HITHE: Well, I have to get to 
work.  You two enjoy.

[ After he leaves, Dean gets up &
places his plate in the microwave. ]

JR. DEAN: I'm not that hungry yet.

LITTLE H: Okay.  At least you're
awake.

[ He leaves H in the kitchen &
sneaks off toward the bathroom.

Turning the water on full blast,
Dean bends down over the toi-
let seat, waiting & clutching
his belly. ]

Scene Three :

Noon, at the Aisles.

[ Scott arrives, just in time to
clock in by his grace period.

He stays silent & makes his
way toward the back cooler
area but is stopped by Brian. ]

"Just walk past me, why don't
you."

SCOTT: My fault man.  Hey.

BRIAN: I'm shitty I missed
that pool party but OT was
calling my name.
SCOTT: Yeah.  Gotta love
summer.  Someone is always
ditching around here.

BRIAN: Hence why we're
the only ones here in our
departments.  Well I'll
see ya out there.

[ A couple hours later, Scott
is tediously checking over
the quality of the vegetables
when Airynn walks by. ]

AIRYNN: Hey, I'm going across
the street for food in a couple
 hours.

Want a ride?

SCOTT: Nah.  I'll be cutting out
in less than an hour.  Got stuff
to do.
AIRYNN: That's cool.  I wish I
could half it today.  It's getting
hotter and hotter outside.

SCOTT: Nice.



[ He answers Airynn but his mind
is somewhere outside TA.

A couple hours later, Scott 
exits a cab and heads toward
an unknown building. ]


Scene Four :
 Meanwhile, in the Salon.

[ Hithe is standing at the front desk
when Kristyn walks in. ]

"I see things are progressing
steadily around here."

HITHE: I know.  Not only are our
stations filled now but the cust-
omers are constantly rolling in.

[ He grins big, taking a seat &
leaning back in his chair. ]

HITHE: But what I'm even more
excited about is me & H moving
in to yours this weekend.
KRISTYN: I was hesistant at first.

[ She states, leaning over towards
him. ]

KRISTYN: Since you've worked every-
thing out and things are starting
to fall into place, I'm looking forward
to it.
HITHE: I knew you would get on board.
The kids love the idea.  However, there
is one thing we still need to talk about.
KRISTYN: What's that?

HITHE: Dean.




[ Back at Kristyn's, Mairya's boyfriend
sees her phone ringing for the third
time and decides to answer it. ]

"Hey, what's going on?"

MICA: What?  Slow down a little,
I can't understand you.

He just passed out there.

[ Mairya comes inside the room,
followed by Trailyn. 

As Mica hangs up the line. ]

MICA: Get my keys we gotta 
go now.

MAIRYA: Where?
MICA: To Hithe's.  We're taking
Dean to the ER.

[ He states as all three head out
to the garage in a panic. ]

Scene Five :

[ Scott sits stradling the middle

cushion, waiting on the interro-

gation to begin. ]

"How long have your symptoms

been getting worse?"

SCOTT: Since before the summer

started.  I wouldn't of said any-

thing but it starting to effect my

focus.

FEMALE: And why haven't you

seen a doctor?

SCOTT: Because I don't need

one.  There just going to put

me on medication.

I can deal with it fine all

on my own.

FEMALE: Oh, then why are you

here?

[ Scott raises his eyebrow, watch-

ing as the therapist adjust into

her seat. ]

SCOTT: I don't know.

FEMALE: I believe you do and I'm

sure we'll get to that in time but

l'm not here to analyze every

thing you do.

We just met.  Let's start more

simply.

SCOTT: With what exactly?

FEMALE: Sit back and tell me

about your day.

[ She smiles at Scott. ]

Scene Six:

[ At the hospital; Mica, Mairya,

& Trailyn are waiting outside

the room.

Inside, H is sitting on a chair

with Dean laying on the bed. ]

DEAN: They're waiting to tell

me that it's getting worse.

[ Little H stands next to him. ]

LITTLE H: You don't know that.

It could have happened from

anything.  Like you not eat-

ing very much.

DEAN: This time I don't think

so babe.

[ H lays down frustrated. ]

DEAN: I'm sorry.  I know your

just trying to help me.  That's

what you've been doing from

day one.

LITTLE H: Right and don't forget

it.

[ H laughs a little but is interupted

by the nurse and doctor barging

in. ]

"Are you a relative?"

[ They hurry over, directing H toward

the door. ]

"We need to talk to Dean. 

Alone."

3 Of A TA Kind ( First6 )

Scene One :

"Man.  It's been awhile since

the three of have sat in my

kitchen together."

[ Hithe leans back, glancing over

at Ski and a very pregnant Amber. ]

AMBER : Times have changed us.

[ She states, rubbing her belly. ]

SKI: Maybe some.  So what is taking

you and Kristyn so long?  I thought

you were taking serious steps

toward the move.

AMBER: Yeah.  Technically you've

been dating longer than all of us,

how can you stand to live away

from each other?

[ Hithe sighs, gathering an expla-

nation. ]

HITHE: Not my choice.  Every

time we get close to a decision

she tends to back track.

.

And then there's.

[ Ski encourages him to proceed. ]

SKI: What?  You know we won't

say anything.

HITHE: It's Mairya.  She brought

a guy home a couple months ago

and Kristyn's been letting him

stay with them ever since.

AMBER: From where?

HITHE: Honestly, he was asking

for money near that stoplight

at 69th and Miller.

SKI: What, near TA?

[ He goes to speak but quickly

mutes instead. ]

HITHE: So you can understand

why now wouldn't be the best

time to merge families.

SKI: I guess.  Besides it seems

like you have your own little

tag-along situation going on

right here.

[ He smirks as they look over to

the living room where Hithe's son

and Junior Dean are knocked

out, and slightly leaning off the

couch. ]

Scene Two:

Midday at home.

[ A shaded Scott is sitting

outside swaying back in

forth on his porch swing.

He digs his phone out of a

deep pocket and a pill falls

onto the ground in front of

him. ]

"Fuck I forgot."

[ Popping open his 20oz, he

leans his head back as if

to choke it down.

Refreshed and relax, he sits

his shades down as Airynn

pulls in his driveway. ]

"You couldn't wait to get

your shirt off I see."

[ Scott stands up. ]

AIRYNN: Screw you.  It's

hot as hell out here man. 

Where's Bronze and Blondie?

SCOTT: They'll be here soon.

[ Airynn follows him inside through

to the backyard pool area. ]

AIRYNN: Did you hear about 

Charles?  Can't believe I use

to work with a guy like that.

SCOTT: Like what exactly?

AIRYNN: You know.  Crooked.

[ They see Maxx and Ricky walk-

ing through the living room. ]

SCOTT: Yeah.  I think you should

keep that opinion to yourself.

[ He leaves Airynn, greeting his

other friends. ]

Scene Three :

Later at Hithe's.

[ His friends have left and he's

passing by Little H's room to 

his own.

Peaking in, he sees H slyly

dropping a bottle into Dean's

sports bag. ]

HITHE: H, come here for a

second.

[ Little H joins him in the hall. ]

HITHE: What was that?  And

don't lie to me.

[ H looks in the room and sees 

Dean tossing around. 

He leads Hithe into the liv-

ing room area. ]

LITTLE H: I don't know if I

should tell you.  I don't know

if I can tell you.

HITHE: What is it?  Are

 you sick with something?

You never have to take pills.

LITTLE H: It's not me.

[ He whispers to Hithe. ]

LITTLE H: They're preventative.

HITHE: To stop what H?

[ Little H just looks at him

and Hithe slowly catches on. ]

Scene Four :

Outside at Scott's.

"I thought we were going

clothing optional."

[ Maxx jokes, calling out from

the deepest end of the pool. ]

RICKY: I think that was in your

mind only.

[ Scott smiles from his beach

chair as Ricky dunks Maxx' head

in.

Airynn comes out of the water

and stands in front of Scott,

preparing to dive in. ]

[ Suddenly Scott drifts off,

opening his eyes he sees Airynn

standing in front of him.

Everything around is frozen as

Scott's arms get closer to

Airynn's back and he realizes

what he's about to do. ]

[ He's then shook back to reality

as Airynn's jump lands him

in the backsplash. ]

"You coming in?"

Scene Five :

[ Little H returns to his room

and Junior Dean is sitting on the

bed. ]

"I know you were trying to be

discreet out there but you don't

have to protect me H."

LITTLE H: I know that.

JRDEAN: This is something I've

been dealing with for years.  I

would prefer if Hithe knew

the whole story.

[ Meanwhile, at Kristyn's.  She

opens her front door. ]

"Hey, I didn't know you we're

coming over."

[ Hithe stays silent and they both

walk into the kitchen. ]

HITHE: I didn't come here to

argue.

KRISTYN: Then don't.

HITHE: It's just my lease is

up at the end of the month.

Have you given any more

thought to what I said?

KRISTYN: I still don't see

why we can't wait a few

more years.

HITHE: Because maybe I'm

tired of waiting Kristyn.  I

want my family together.

My whole family.  It's been

long enough.

[ She is surprised by his tone. ]

HITHE: You need to make a

decision.

[ He exits the house, slamming

the door. ]

Scene Six :

" I wanted to push."

[ Scott types this last sentence

as he prepares to post an entry

on his website.

Feeling nervous about the cause

of this reaction, he goes to shut

his laptop and lay down but is

stopped by a sound alert. ]

"New response."

SCOTT: A comment. Already?

[ He clicks on the link to open and

is excited to see a friendly face

pop up in the profile. ]

MaxAMilli writes: It was just a

thought.  Don't get yourself

stressed out about it.  

I'm sure your not the first

or last to think that way

about him. :((

[ Scott sits back, staring out

his bedroom window. ]
