Inside All Hours Fitness.

[ Kyle has a break in appointments

& is getting some time in on the

punching bag.  His pace increases

with every hit until his work mate

walks inside the room. ]

CO-WORKER: This is Sunshine.

She's new in town and wants to

talk about setting up a weekly

training schedule.

KYLE: Cool.  Thanks Brad.

[ The co-worker leaves &

Kyle looks over at Sunshine,

smiling.

Later on, they are talking. ]

KYLE: So you're telling me

you and your friend we're

pretty much kidnapped.

And where is this guy?

SUNSHINE: Last thing I

knew in jail.

[ She joins Kyle, sitting on

a bench. ]

KYLE: Great.  You're safe

then.  

SUNSHINE: Not at all.  He may

be caught now but he'll get

out soon enough and I wanna 

be prepared.

KYLE: For what?

SUNSHINE: To defend myself.

He's been doing this for a long

time and I'm gonna be the one

to finally end it.

[ She stands up, knocking the

bag away. ]

At LeeVigh's apartment.

[ Walking down to the basement,

he sees an unfamiliar person

sitting on the couch. ]

LEEVIGH: Uh, hello.

"Hey, I'm Zain.  I just started

at TA."

[ He holds out his hand &

LeeVigh shakes it. ]

LEEVIGH: Cool.  Nice to meet

you.

So what are the boys up to?

ZAIN: Joh's pulling a double.

And Weis & Stuu, no clue.

They left me in here a

couple hours ago.

LEEVIGH: Well, that's pretty

rude.  I'll get them.

[ LeeVigh heads for Weis' door. ]

ZAIN: You might not wanna do

that, man.

LEEVIGH: It's cool.  We pretty much

have an open door policy around

here.

[ He laughs while Zain shakes his head.

Opening the door, LeeVigh is startled

by what he sees. Weis jumps up, 

knocking Stuu over on the ground. ]

LEEVIGH: What are you two up to?

WEIS: Nothing.  

[ He sits up, getting dressed while

LeeVigh stares at them. ]

WEIS: Let's go practice.

Back at the Fitness Center.

KYLE: I know you didn't ask for

my opinion but this dude sounds

really dangerous.  Maybe you

should leave it alone.

SUNSHINE: I can't do that.  Even

though things turned out well

for me and my friend, he still

had no right to make our decision

for us.

KYLE: Yeah, I understand.  Just

be cautious.

SUNSHINE: Anyway a little less

talking, a lot more working

out please.

KYLE: Alright.  I'll show you my

session run through so you

can see what you're getting

into.  You ready?

[ They both stand up. ]

SUNSHINE: Yup.

KYLE: Okay.  I like to start off

with some basic stretching

techniques.  

[ Kyle spreads his legs, extending

his arms one at a time while Sun-

shine follows him. ]

KYLE: Feeling good?

After practice, Weis' room.

[ Everyone is gone except LeeVigh

& Weis. ]

LEEVIGH: So I walked in on you

 and Stuu in your boxers with him

on top of you.  That's not how

buds usually play around.

WEIS: Yeah, about that.  

[ Weis smirks at him. ]

WEIS: We're not just friends

anymore.  Obviously.

LEEVIGH: What? Last thing I

knew Stuu had an unrequited

crush on Tiesun.  Now he's 

into you?

WEIS: He's been into me for

awhile, we just haven't agreed

on certain things.

LEEVIGH: You mean, sex.

WEIS: Yes.

LEEVIGH: So what's changed

now?

WEIS: Nothing.  I have fun

with Stuu and he's a good

person.  It shouldn't matter

that he's asexual, you know.

LEEVIGH: Cool.  That's very

mature of you.

WEIS: Yeah I try.

LEEVIGH: I'm gonna go lay

down.  Later.

[ He exits & heads upstairs. ]

Later, at the Center.

[ Kyle is wrapping up his lesson. ]

KYLE: And that's pretty much it.

You exhausted yet?

[ Sunshine gets up, facing Kyle. ]

SUNSHINE: Nope.  I'm good.

Thanks for giving me this

KYLE: No problem.  How's every

Tuesday at about 11 sound?

SUNSHINE: That will be perfect.

Well my rides here, I should

get going.  See you Kyle.

[ She leaves & Landyn enters

the room. ]

KYLE: Hey man, you're right on

time.

LANDYN: Who was that?

KYLE: My new client.

LANDYN: Interesting.

[ Landyn looks up at him. ]

KYLE: Yeah and don't give me

that look, I'm a happily married

man.

LANDYN: Glad to hear it.

[ Kyle takes off running &

Landyn follows him, sprinting

around the track.  ]

Inside LeeVigh's room.

[ He's laying in bed when

his phone rings. ]

LEEVIGH: Hey babe.

TESSA: Hey.  Have a good day

off?

LEEVIGH: It was alright.  Had practice

and just woke up from a little nap.

How was work?

TESSA: Pretty slow day. Nothing too

exciting.

LEEVIGH: You'll never guess what I

found out today.

TESSA: Oh yeah, what's that?

LEEVIGH: My band mates are 

dating each other.  

TESSA: You're kidding.  I didn't

even know Stuu was into guys.

LEEVIGH: Me either.

TESSA: Hopefully this doesn't

make practice too awkward for

you.

LEEVIGH: Thanks.  I never thought

of that.  

TESSA: Don't worry about it babe.

I'm sure Weis isn't any different

in a relationship.

[ LeeVigh sighs into the phone. ]

Hard Defense

 SCENE 1:

M.S. High school.

[ Outside the lockeroom,

Kiilyn approaches Chais

& Jai. ]

KIILYN: What’s going on?

JAI: Nothing.  You two ready

for the game tonight?

[ Chais stands up. ]

CHAIS: Yeah, can’t

believe Jenni won’t be

here.  We’re gonna need

all the support we can

get.

KIILYN: Why is that?

JAI: Because no one

cares about the younger

teams.

CHAIS: Exactly.  We’ll be

lucky to get a small crowd

before the big game. 

KIILYN: Oh well.  I know a

way we can attract more

attention.

CHAIS: Yeah, how’s that?

KIILYN: By playing better,

duh.

CHAIS: Have you seen our

team though?

KIILYN: If you do the scoring

and I concentrate on the

blocking.  We’ll win for sure.

[ Chais isn’t yet convinced. ]

KIILYN: Don’t worry.  I got you.

SCENE 2:

Afternoon shift, at TA.

[ Sandie and a fellow bakery

worker are talking in her

office. ]

SANDIE: The results are in.

LEIANN: And?  Don’t leave

me in suspense.

[ Sandie unfolds the paper in

her hand & her expression

changes. ]

SANDIE: We made it

to the top.  Finally.

LEIANN: After three weeks

of coming second to grocery,

I didn’t think we see the day.

[ She states in a sarcastic tone. ]

SANDIE: I knew all our hard

work and extra hours would

pay off eventually.  Now we

just have to keep it up.

LEIANN: We’ll don’t be too

concerned. I think I may

have a valuable idea or

two to push us over for

next time.

SANDIE: Great.  I knew

I hired you for a reason.

[ She smiles. ]

SCENE 3:

Later, at the school.

[ The game is almost over & Chais

is guiding the ball down the field

with Kiilyn close behind him.

Monica, Kyle, Ski, & Mark

are watching from the stands. ]

MARK: Focus on the goal!

[ Just as Chais is about to launch

towards the goal, he is stopped

by an opposing player who

takes control of the ball.

Kiilyn runs up to Chais. ]

CHAIS: Dude, come on.

[ They both take positions to

block the guy coming toward

them.

Just as Kiilyn is about to

steal, he looses balance and

falls, allowing the winning

goal to be scored. ]

SCENE 4:

Back near the Bakery.

[ LeiAnn is walking away

when Charles comes up

to the counter. ]

CHARLES: I wasn’t aware

the master gives out breaks.

[ He smirks, bending across

to kiss Sandie. ]

SANDIE: If they’re lucky.

CHARLES: Oh yeah, and

am I gonna get lucky?

Pleaseeeee.

SANDIE: Quiet you.

[ He starts to laugh. ]

CHARLES: I see you ousted

grocery from their title.

Enjoy your week.

SANDIE: I intend to, but this

isn’t just about that for me. 

CHARLES: What’s it about?

SANDIE: We’re already working

on ways for bakery to be

there every week.

CHARLES: Yeah, well you may

have a chance.  I heard the

other teams aren’t taking it

as seriously.

SANDIE: And that’s why we’re

the best.

SCENE 5:

Outside the school.

[ Kiilyn & Jai are talking

on the sidewalk. ]

KIIILYN: Your bro looked

pissed, man.

JAI: Oh well.  He’ll get over

it.  He’s just never won a

first game before.

KIILYN: I can’t believe I

did that!

[ He stands up, failing his

hands wildly in the air. ]

JAI: Calm down. It was

one mistake.

KIILYN: This is my first year

at high school.  I just wanted

to be taken seriously. 

JAI: You mean like when I

answered every question

in our summer class and

ended up making the

teacher mad?

KIILYN: Oh yeah.  Can you

say hashtag doing the most?

[ They both start to laugh. ]

SCENE 6:

Later that night, TA.

[ Sandie is locking up the

bakery.  Walking now, she

heads toward the back

and into the grocery stock

area.

When suddenly someone

comes up to her side. ]

CHARLES: Babe, you almost

ready to go?

SANDIE: Yeah, I’ll meet you

In the car.

[ When he leaves, she walks

over to an open bag.  Pulling

out scissors, she slowly slices

the top as the contents spill

onto the floor.

Sandie continues demolishing two

more bags before sneakily heading

out the back area. ]

Blue ( Da Ba Dee )

SCENE 1:

Early Morning, at Joh’s.

[ He enters Weis’ bedroom. ]

WEIS: That was fast.  You must

have been waiting for my light

to turn on.

JOH: Yeah.  I’ve been up for

awhile.  Just thinking.

WEIS: That can be dangerous.

JOH: How was the late night

skating fest?  Dude, I haven’t

been there in ages.

WEIS: It was packed. 

JOH: With trails of single

college girls, I bet.  Screw

my life.

[ He stops talking & sits on

the bed. ]

WEIS: Sucks they allow underage

there in the summer.

JOH: Yeah, I know.

WEIS: You can come swimming

with us this afternoon though

right?

JOH: Not sure.  Where at? 

WEIS: Riverland Park, I think.

JOH: Nope.  I can’t come within

whatever feet of that place.

WEIS:  You need to talk to Mark’s

lawyer friend as soon as possible.

This is getting ridiculous, dude.

SCENE 2:

Overseas; Tokyo, Japan.

[ Jai & Kiilyn are walking

down the street. ]

KIILYN: That was a long ride.

We better hurry up before

we’re late on the first day.

JAI: I know, but the class

should be in that building

up ahead.

[ He points at the school

& they walk inside the door. ]

KIILYN: How am I gonna last

In this class if I can’t even

say the guys last name?

JAI: We’ll just call him Teach

Y.

[ They find the classroom. ]

TEACH Y: You’re late.  Please

take seats.

[ Jai & Kiilyn look at each other

& then sit in the back of the

class. ]

TEACH Y: Today we go over simple

vocabulary.  But first, let me make

sure everyone is here.

SCENE 3:

Local Office, Downtown.

[ Joh walks up to the building

& is met at the door by Mark’s

friend. ]

M. UTILAN: Nice to meet you.

Let’s talk over here.

[ He sits at a desk & Joh sits

In a chair across from him. ]

JOH: I’m not sure how much you

know about what happened.

M. UTILAN: I got a good idea

from Mark.  The problem lies

with the fact that you waited

until after you we’re given

the five years on the list.

JOH: Does that mean there

Is nothing I can do?

M. UTILAN: I wouldn’t say that.

It just going to take some time.

JOH: How long?  It’s kind of hard

to enjoy my summer when I can’t

be seen anywhere.

M. UTILAN: I understand.  Give me

a few days to do some more case

research and I will get back to you.

JOH: Alright then.

[ Dissapointed, Joh returns to his

truck.  Not thinking, he heads

to find his roomates. ]

SCENE 4:

Back at the school.

[ Jai is raising his hand to

answer his third question

in a row. ]

KIILYN: Hey, you might wanna

just chill.

JAI: These questions are so easy.

TEACH Y: Does anyone else

have the answer?

JAI: I’m sorry sir but I already

know all of these.

[ The teacher stands over his desk. ]

TEACH Y: I see, and what are you

trying to say by that?

JAI: No offense, but these words

are pretty basic.  I thought we’d

get into more like sentence

structure. 

TEACH Y: Well since the curriculum

doesn’t meet your standards,

maybe you should sit out for

the rest of the day.

JAI: What?

TEACH Y: You heard me.  You can

wait for your friend in the empty

room next door. Now go!

[ Kiilyn shakes his head, while Jai

exits in surprise. ]

SCENE 5:

Riverland Park, swimming area.

[ Weis gets out of the pool &

walks over to LeeVigh & Tessa,

who are laying on the grass. ]

WEIS: Joh Joh is here.

LEEVIGH: Yeah right.

WEIS: I’m serious.  I just seen

his truck pull into the lot over

there.

[ LeeVigh looks over & sees

Joh smiling, walking towards. ]

LEEVIGH: I’ll talk care of it.

[ At the gate. ]

LEEVIGH: Man, what are you

doing?  You’re not suppose

to be around here. 

JOH: I talked to the lawyer.

He said I should of came

sooner. Who knows how

long it will take.

LEEVIGH: Then, I’m sorry

but you have to wait.

Listen, we’re almost done.

Let’s go home.  I’ll just

text the others.

[ They get in Joh’s truck

& drive off. ]

SCENE 6:

[ Jai is sitting alone in the

empty class room when his

phone rings.  He answers it,

hearing laughter at the other

end. ]

SKI: Sentence structure? I

can’t believe you said that

smart ass.

JAI: I wasn’t trying to be smart.

SKI: Yeah, I know.  He just took

It the wrong way.

JAI: Don’t tell Dad I got kicked

out on the first day alright.

SKI: I won’t.  And don’t worry.

You have plenty of time to

make a better impression.

JAI: That’s true. Thanks Ski.

SKI: You’re welcome.

Tell everyone I said hi and

we miss them.

JAI: I will.  Miss you too. 

[ He hangs up, burying his head

In his arms. ]
