SCENE ONE :

Between TA and the Salon.

[ Caution tape & barriers are stat-

ioned at each end while Landyn &

Monica sit at the outdoor table. ]

"Afternoon.  I'm seated here with

one of our long time employees

Monica Hasileda."

[ He pauses for effect & the camera

zooms in on his smiling co-star. ]

MONICA: Nice day, isn't it?

[ She states presenting the drink

that is currently chilling her hands. ]

LANDYN: Yes.  Brisk falls are common

here in Magic Springs.  Monica is 

indulging in one of TA's new 

chilled breakfast drinks.

MONICA: This is the strawberry fusion

tango.  Awakening and refreshing.

[ Landyn gazes straight into the camera. ]

LANDYN: Find these at an Aisle's deli.

See you back soon. 

[ Later inside, Monica is joined by Hahn

& Kristyn in the break room. ]

KRISTYN: So how'd did it go?

HAHN: Yeah, I'm interested too. Con-

sidering I wasn't even asked.

[ They smirk it off but he is deadly 

serious. ]

MONICA: I was nervous but Landyn

made things so easy.  He even joked

about the writing between takes. 

Well I have to get going but I can't

wait for you all to see it.

[ She walks out of the room.  Trying to

contain the strange energy that is

pulsating inside her.  ]

SCENE TWO :

Across town at LeeVigh's.

[ Tessa, LeeVigh, Joh, & Weis

are sitting on the lone sofa in

an otherwise empty living

space. ]

"You know we moved in here

exactly two years ago."

TESSA: I was starting to think

I would never see the day.  You

three have been stuck like glue

ever since.  And after the tour.

[ She stands up, noticing how close

the three are seated.  LeeVigh is

playfully slamming into Joh from

the side trying to knock him over. ]

LEEVIGH: You missed it babe.  Zain

killed it last night.

WEIS: Yeah he won his first challenge.

I knew he had it when I seen it

involved swimming.

JOH: He's like a skinny whale or 

something that dude.

[ Everyone looks at him. ]

LEEVIGH: I have to get something

out of the car.

[ He disappears in a rush. ]

JOH: Okay?

SCENE THREE :

Late afternoon, at Monica's.

[ She arrives home after a long

day & guests are gathered

celebrating Mairya's birthday.

Trailyn hears the door open

& greets her mother in the

kitchen. ]

"Hey mom."

MONICA: Hey.  Was she surprised?

TRAILYN: Oh yeah, it worked.

MONICA: I told you.  See I'm smart-

er than you may want to believe

sometimes.

[ Her daughter rolls her eyes. ]

MONICA: Who all made it?

TRAILYN: Jai, Chais, Billy, 

some girl he likes, Jai's

friend Tom, & Little H.

MONICA: You decided not to

invite Caleb?

TRAILYN: Mairya was giving me

clues that she didn't want to

see him.  I had no other 

choice.

[ Her phone starts to play a

familiar alternative tune. ]

"He's calling me."

MONICA: Remember he is

still your friend and that

means you should take

time for him.  Just keep

that in mind.  

[ She watches her daughter

leave the room. ]

SCENE FOUR :

Outside, LeeVigh's front porch.

[ He's sitting down with his feet

up, a stray cat nestled in his

arms when Weis comes out

after him. ]

"You know that cat has fleas

right?"

[ LeeVigh jumps a little and the

feline flutters off. ]

LEEVIGH: Sorry kitty.

WEIS: Don't even tell me you

were out here crying.

LEEVIGH: No you little fucker.

But you're moving in with your

boyfriend (and Joh temporarily).

It's a little different for me.

WEIS: How so?  You and Tessa

are in a good place.

LEEVIGH: Once it's just me and

her then the expectations will

start coming.  

WEIS: I know what you mean

but you don't have to live

any certain way.  It's what-

ever works, look at me &

Stuu.  

LEEVIGH: I just have to explain

to her I don't wanna rush into

anything.

WEIS: Right and she'll understand.

SCENE FIVE :

[ Trailyn & Little H are sitting on

her bed staring down at a cell

on speaker phone. ]

"Are you two sitting all alone

to talk to me?"

TRAILYN: No, it's just quiet here.

Most people have already left.

[ Little H stifles a laugh at

her quickness. ]

CALEB: What is Mairya's issue

with me?  She acts like we're

friends when we're in class

then she bans me from her

party.  

TRAILYN: You know how she

feels about your relationship

with H.  It's only a matter of

time blah, blah, blah.

CALEB: Just because me and

her didn't last that's pretty

judgmental.

LITTLE H: Who cares.  Just worry

about the friends you do have.  

[ After they hang up.  Caleb is

shown laying still across his bed.

Sitting up he removes a picture

frame from his wall.  He writes

quickly a six letter word & re

-places the cover up. ]

SCENE SIX :

[ LeeVigh is driving with Tessa

in the passenger seat. ]

"You seem excited.  It's not like

I've never stayed at your place

before."

TESSA: I know but I feel like

you've grown up.  We both have.

We're like a married couple

now.

[ She is so contained in herself

that she doesn't noticed the

worried look growing on Lee-

Vigh's face.

He chooses to keep silent,

relaxing into the radio &

passing scenery instead. ]

LEEVIGH: Yeah no rush.

[ He let's out, testing the

waters. ]

TESSA: Of course not.

Sliced Up

SCENE 1:

Outside the Telazon’s.

[ Airynn is sitting on his

porch when Joh arrives

& sits next to him. ]

AIRYNN: Hey, surprised you

showed.  I’m guessing all

of your besties are busy.

[ Joh laughs at him. ]

JOH: That’s right.

So why are you moping

around here on your

weekend off?

AIRYNN: My girlfriend left

me last week.

JOH: You had a girlfriend?

AIRYNN: Yes, smart ass.

She was staying here.

JOH: Oh, I didn’t know.

AIRYNN: And look.

[ Airynn hands him a piece

of paper. ]

JOH: Renter’s application?

AIRYNN: I was working on

getting this sweet pad

for us too.

JOH: That sucks, dude.

Too bad we’re full at

my place.

AIRYNN: Imagine me and

Weis living together?

Anyway, my plan’s ruined

now.

SCENE 2:

Meanwhile, at the Salon.

[ Lorenzo approaches Hithe

& Ace after the meeting. ]

LORENZO: Hey, can we talk?

ACE: Sure man, what’s up?

LORENZO: I was just thinking.

We should have a guys day

at the Salon.  Bring more

men into this place.

HITHE: Yeah but we don’t

want to exclude our regulars.

Most of them are women.

LORENZO: Then let’s do

the event after hours.

ACE: And who would host?

[ Later on, at the front desk. ]

JESZYCA: What’s wrong Renzo?

LORENZO: I had a great idea

and they basically shot it

down.  I need to do something

huge and then maybe I’ll get

some respect around here.

SCENE 3:

Airynn’s bedroom.

[ After Joh leaves, Airynn is

laying down flipping through

the channels.

He stops at an interesting

news story. ]

“Tonight we follow the lives

of a local, private religious

group and learn of their

rather different traditions.”

[ Intrigued, Airynn settles

back, paying attention. ]

AIRYNN: I wonder where

these people stay at.

[ Getting on his laptop, he

searches for some deeper

insight on the matter. ]

AIRYNN: Hmm, Palaseto Clan.

Very interesting.

[ He looks to see if he can

find an address, when his

brother walks in the room.

Airynn shuts the laptop. ]

BILLY: What was that about?

Gross.  Were you watching

porn?

SCENE 4:

Next night, the Salon.

[ Lorenzo meets Sascha

at the front door while

she goes to unlock it. ]

LORENZO: Hey, thanks for

your help.

[ They walk in. ]

SASCHA: No problem.  I can’t

believe Ace and Kare didn’t

wanna be a part of this.

Should I text them and

make sure?

LORENZO: No, no.  I’m pretty

sure they’re going out. 

I got drinks, food, and we

should have a lot of new

faces here.

SASCHA: Sounds good.

I’ll get the table from

the break room for

refreshments. 

LORENZO: Good idea.

SASCHA: Oh, and Pierre

Is coming too.

LORENZO: Nice.  We should

work together more often.

[ Sascha smiles at him before

walking away. ]

SCENE 5:

Outside of TA.

[ Airynn arrives to see Larrie

& Tiesun being cozy outside. ]

AIRYNN: Hey, what’s up?

TIESUN: What are you doing

here on your day off?

LARRIE: Yeah, are you that

bored?

[ Airynn doesn’t say anything

& Tiesun gets up, walking over

to him. ]

TIESUN: She left, didn’t she?

[ Airynn nods his head. ]

LARRIE: Who?

TIESUN: The girl he had staying

with him. 

AIRYNN: I was this close to

moving out.

TIESUN: You know, you don’t

have to be with someone to

have your own place.  I live

alone.  So does Stuu.

AIRYNN: Yeah, I know.

[ He sighs & goes silent again. ]

SCENE 6:

Back at the Salon.

[ Sascha is busy cutting

hair while Lorenzo is

entertaining the clients.

Sipping a glass a wine,

he finishes telling a joke

to the crowd. ]

LORENZO: So anyway, whose

next?

“I am!”

[ Recognizing the voice, he

Immediately turns around. ]

SASCHA: Hey Acer.

[ She yells from her station. ]

ACE: What the hell is going

on in here?

I didn’t authorize this.

[ Sascha looks at Lorenzo,

coming over immediatly. ]

LORENZO: I’m proving that

this was a good idea.  Look

at all these people.

[ Ace takes a second to

look around. ]

ACE: It is a nice crowd.

SCENE 1

‘Larrie, hey
wake up. I
need to talk
to you.’

[ Larrie sits up and
Jeszyca is standing
over him. ]

LARRIE: I’m up,
I’m up. What’s
the emergency?
JESZYCA: I have
no problem with
you staying here,
but you can’t just
leave your dirty
clothes all around.
LARRIE: Okay.
I got it. Sorry.
Where are you
off to so early
anyway?
JESZYCA: Just an
appointment.
LARRIE: You alright?

JESZYCA: Yeah,
I’m fine.

LARRIE: Well, don’t
stress out. I’ll clean
the place up.
JESZYCA: Okay.
I’ll be back
soon.

[ She leaves and
Larrie shakes
his head. ]


SCENE 2

HITHE: Isn’t this
nice?
A romantic evening
alone.
KRISTYN: Yeah.
Thank god for
Kyle and Monica
taking the kids
over night.
Jared hardly does.

[ Hithe looks away ]

HITHE: Yeah.
Can you believe
Kyle volunteered
for them?
KRISTYN: Well,
he’s young and
trying to make a
good impression.
HITHE: I don’t get
it. Anyway. . .what
do you wanna do
today?

[ Kristyn shrugs. ]

HITHE: While
you decide. I’ll
go take a shower.
KRISTYN: Okay.

[ He kisses her
and leaves. ]

[ Kristyn gets up
looking through
the magazines
on the table and
finds a letter ]

SCENE 3

[ Across town in
a local office
building. ]

‘Miss Norigami’

JESZYCA: Yes.
ASSISTANT: Come
with me.

[ She walks past
the doors and
into a private
room ]

ASSISTANT: The
doctor will be
in soon.

[ She slams the
door and Jeszyca
shudders. ]

[ Ten minutes later ]

‘Afternoon, I’m
Dr. Speegul. How
are you?

JESZYCA: Hi.
DR. SPEEGUL: Is this
your first time?
JESZYCA: Yes.

[ He comes closer
and smiles at her. ]

DR. SPEEGUL: Well,
just relax.
I will take excellent
care of you.


SCENE 4

[ Hithe walks into
the living room
and Kristyn is
on the couch. ]

HITHE: Figure
it out?
KRISTYN: I sure
did. Let’s go have
brunch at ‘The
Olive Tree’.
HITHE: But
that’s downtown.
Why would we
go all the way
there when
there’s places
around here?
KRISTYN: I’m
in the mood for
one of their. . .
omelettes
HITHE: Whatever
you say Miss.
Should I get
the car?
KRISTYN: That’s
okay. I’ll drive.

[ She walks out
the front door
and Hithe follows
behind her. ]

[ A short trip later
they arrive in a
back parking lot
beside another car.]

HITHE: This isn’t
‘The Olive Tree’.

[ They both get out
as a man walks
toward them. ]

‘What is your
ex husband
doing here?’

KRISTYN: You tell
me Hithe.
I saw your mail
from him.


SCENE 5

[ Jeszyca wraps
a scarf around
her face and
starts walking
down the street. ]

[ She moves fast
toward her car
until someone
calls her from
behind. ]

JESZYCA: Ski,
hi.
SKI: Hey. Hiding
from someone?

[ She laughs ]

JESZYCA: No,
just trying not
to spread my
cold.
SKI: Oh. Well,
I let you get
going then.
Enjoy your
night off.

[ He walks away
and Jeszyca looks
relieved. ]


SCENE 6

‘Listen, Kristyn
I was going to
tell you’

[ Jared walks over. ]

KRISTYN: Tell me
what? Why would
you need a lawyer?
HITHE: It’s about
our son.
KRISTYN: What
about him?
HITHE: Jared was
helping me sue the
hospital.
KRISTYN: So they
did do something
wrong.
HITHE: Yes, but
instead of going
to trial they want
to settle.

KRISTYN: Wait.
You didn’t agree
to that did you?
JARED: I think
I should go. This is
a little too domestic
for me.

Call me Hithe.

[ He leaves and
Kristyn waits. ]


KRISTYN: Well?
HITHE: Yes. I
was thinking of
us. We would be
set for a long time.
KRISTYN: So you
would sell out your
own son for a little
financial security?
HITHE: No, it's not
like that.
You’re not under-
standing me.

KRISTYN: Oh, I
understand.
You’re a sad
excuse for a
man.

I can’t believe
you would do
something like
this.

[ Hithe stands
there as she
drives away. ]


SCENE 7

[ Larrie is sitting
on the couch
when Jeszyca
comes in. ]

LARRIE: How’d
it go?
JESZYCA: Fine.
Just a normal
checkup. What
are you watching?

[ She sits down ]

LARRIE: Some talk
show special. It’s
about those botox
injection things.

I mean, how
silly is that
right?

[ He laughs and
Jeszyca stays silent. ]
