Trepidation Household: Part 2 [ #Sunsational25 ]

Scene O n e:

[ Continuing . . .Mark & Ski’s. ]

“Why would he do this?”

SKI: I don’t know. Jealousy maybe?

You two are always going at it.

MARK: Since we we’re kids.  But

what would possess him to take

it this far?

To a criminal level.

SKI: It’s wild, I know.

You need to talk.  Find out what is

going on in his head.  If corporate

gets wind of this, they will definitely

prosecute.

MARK: He cost the store money, some

of the employees lost time and he

damaged property.  Not to mention,

breaking into our system.

This is an extreme case.

SKI: You must consider the policy.

MARK: You’re right.  That’s the most

important part.

I tried to contact him, but he isn’t

responding.

SKI: Of course not.  I can’t believe he

thought he could get away with it.

MARK: I can’t believe he hates me

this much.

[ He looks down, checking his phone. ]

MARK: You’re kidding me.

SKI: What?

MARK: He’s here.

[ Mark looks upset.  Ski put his hand

on his shoulder. ]

SKI: Go ahead.  I’ll inform corporate.

[ He leaves to greet his brother outside. ]

Scene T w o:

[ Across Town . . .TA Kutz. ]

[ Diane is styling a client, heavy into

their conversation. ]

“So . . .how are things going with

your man?

DIANE: Julieyn is great. We have

fun.  Hardly ever argue.

There’s just one small inconven-

ience.

CUSTOMER: Oh no.  What’s that?

DIANE: His family.  Let’s just say

they are very involved. Too much.

He has a brother who clearly has

issues with me but denies it.

CUSTOMER: There’s nothing worse

than a fake person who lies to your

face.

DIANE: Right!  But that’s not even the

worst of it.

CUSTOMER: Oh yeah.  What else?

DIANE: His son.  He’s always lingering

around us and the other night I caught

him staring.  In fact, I have many times.

CUSTOMER: Maybe he’s into older woman.

[ Diane laughs. ]

DIANE: Please.  I’m sixty-five years old.

There’s a lot of strange people in this

world.  I’m sure that’s just it.

Scene T h r e e:

[ That Afternoon . . .Inside Fang’s Place. ]

[ Little H & her daughter are sitting

on the rug playing I Spy. ]

FANG: This is nice.   After that first

meet up with H, I never thought

we'd end up here.  Together.

HITHE: He’s a very forgiving person.

Which is admirable, considering

what he went through before I

adopted him.

FANG: I can’t even imagine.

HITHE: Yeah, it was rough.

Between his messed-up parents

and being bounced around all

over the state.

FANG: That’s terrible.

HITHE: Rylie’s a charmer.  Must

have the boys in her class wrapped

around her finger.

FANG: No, because I don’t allow

dating.  In fact, I told her to stay

away from them.

HITHE: Really, completely?  Isn’t

that a bit of an overreaction?

FANG: No!

Scene F o u r:

[ Outside Of Mark & Ski’s. ]

“What are you doing here?”

UNCLE JOSH: It’s your day off.

Wanted to see if you were

going to join us on the course.

MARK: You’re serious?

Ski showed me footage of you

outside of TA.  Desecrating

the property.

[ Josh walks closer to Mark. ]

UNCLE JOSH: I don’t know what you’re

talking about.

MARK: Not to mention, the random

show ups at Care & TA. There’s

plenty of evidence against you.

Why would you do this?

[ He stands there, facing his brother

who stays silent.  Suddenly Josh starts

to tear up. ]

UNCLE JOSH: Because!  You get everything

you want.  And you’re always bragging

about it.

What do I ever get?

Nothing!

[ He yells furiously at Mark as he

stands there in complete shock. ]

“What are you up to?”

[ Jeszyca enters, sitting on the

other side of the desk. ]

ACE: Just rotating the schedule

a bit for Kira’s return.

JESZYCA: I can’t wait to see her!

ACE: Yeah, me too.  It’s such a

blessing she recovered.

Look, a delivery vehicle just

pulled up.

[ He turns his screen so she

can see. ]

JESZYCA: We’re not expecting

anything.  Must be personal.

[ They watch the driver get out. ]

ACE: That is the strangest looking

bouquet I have ever seen.

[ A few minutes later, after he

brings it inside. ]

[ He reads the card. ]

For Diane.  Just wanted to let

you know how much you inspire

me.

We’ve had a lot of fun.  But now

that I know you’ve chosen Juls.

I’ve decided to back off.

Love always, Cal.

are on your side.  I know you’ve

been unlucky with the relation-

ship route but it didn’t have

to come to this.”

[ Josh doesn’t speak. ]

[ Mark stands, waiting. . . ]

UNCLE JOSH: What do you know?

If you were going to turn me in,

you would’ve already done it.

Problem is.  You don’t have the balls.

[ He starts to walk back to his car. ]

UNCLE JOSH: If they wanna lock me

up.  They’ll have to me find me first.

MARK: Josh!

[ He exclaims as two police vehicle’s

pull into the driveway.  A couple of

male cops jump out, approaching Josh.

Mark falls to his knees, watching. ]

“Joshua Simon, you are under arrest.”

ling by Mark as he burst into tears. ]

SKI: I’m sorry.

[ Mark hugs onto him. ]

Scene S e v e n:

[ Late Night . . .Diane’s House. ]

[ Shaken, Diane is reading over

the description on the card.

Now for her third time, she deb-

ates whether to tell Julieyn. ]

[ Staring at the bouquet of arrows,

she picks up her phone but he

is already calling. ]

It’s like you can read my mind.

I was just about to call you.”

DIANE: Julieyn?

[ She is startled by the loud groans

and anguish coming from the other

end of the line. ]

DIANE: Juls!  What is going on?

Are you okay?

JULIEYN: It’s Caleon.

[ He finally says, his face soaked

with tears, choking on his words. ]

JULIEYN: He shot himself.

DIANE: No!

He’s . . .dead.
