[ Mark and his kids Jaison and Chaison
are walking up the steps of the police
station. . . ]


[ Once inside, they see Ski being
walked
towards them by an officer. . . ]

MARK: Hey, you alright?
SKI: Just fine, for sitting
in a holding cell all night
MARK: Yeah, I know
what you mean
SKI: One question though. . .
How did you get me
out?
MARK: I had some money
put away
SKI: Come on, Mark. . .
I got busted for sleeping
with someone underage
I know you’ve worked some magic
MARK: Don’t worry about it
You’re safe for now

SKI: What do you mean
for now?
MARK: You’ve been scheduled
a trial for next Monday
SKI: A trial? So, I could be
going back. . .permanently?
MARK: I’m not gonna let
that happen, Ski

lawyer and he’s going to

SKI: Yeah, well there’s a

[ Mark just looks at him. . . ]

[ Downtown inside Joh and
Weis’ college dorm. . . ]

WEIS: Yup
JOH: Alright, well I’m
gonna go finish signing
up for classes

[ When Joh leaves, Weis gets
on his phone and starts dialing ]

WEIS: Mom?
I can’t believe you did

WEIS’ MOM: I’m not

around someone that

WEIS: And? It’s not like
we did anything
WEIS’ MOM: I’m

[ Ski is pacing back and forth while
Mark is sitting on the couch. . . ]

MARK: Hey, why don’t you
come sit for a second?
SKI: No, I can’t right now
MARK: Well, I never got
to show you what I bought
the other day. . .

SKI: Alrite, what is it?

[ Mark pulls out a dark, costume
from a bag and shows him ]

SKI: What is it with you and
dressing me?
[ laughs ] MARK: It’s vampire costumes
SKI: I see that, why?
MARK: Well, it was for a costume party
That I set up. . .
SKI: What party?
MARK: The one we're having
tomorrow night [ looks away ]

SKI: Are you out of your mind?

MARK: Sorry, I planned this
awhile ago. . .
If you want to I’ll cancel it
though
SKI: No, that’s OK
Just because my life is going
down the drain doesn’t mean
everyone else should suffer

[ Ski leaves while Mark’s still
sitting on the couch. . . ]


[ Day shift at TA, Kristyn
walks up to Monica’s lane. . . ]

KRISTYN: Hey, how are you?
MONICA: I’m doing fine
I love your hair, girl
KRISTYN: Thanks. . .
I wanted to try something
different
MONICA: Yeah, it’s looks nice
So, where’s your handsome
other half?
KRISTYN: He’s in his office
And what about you?
MONICA: Me? Please, I
haven’t had
a date in like 5 years
KRISTYN: Well, look around. . .
There’s plenty of single, young
men here

[ Kristyn turns around pointing
to Ace and Kyle. . . ]

MONICA: I don’t know
KRISTYN: Well, think about it

new year needs
MONICA: Maybe you’re right

[ Kristyn walks away smiling,
seeing Amber she waves and
keeps walking. . . ]

AMBER: What was that about?
MONICA: Nothing, just because
Kristyn has a man doesn’t

AMBER: Sure, I guess

[ Amber walks back to self-checkout
surprised, not noticing Monica
smile behind her back. . . ]


[ Mark and his kids are watching
a movie in the living room when
Ski comes in. . . ]

MARK: Hey you, how was
that power nap?
SKI: Very funny. . .Well, I gotta
leave for work soon
MARK: I know. . .

[ Ski starts walking toward
the door. . . ]

MARK: Hey, come here
I’ve been on the phone
with the lawyer all day
SKI: Is everything still good?
MARK: Yeah, everything’s
fine, But. . .
SKI: What?
MARK: We might have to use some
well, let's say persuasion
and you'll have to talk to Weis
SKI: I thought I couldn’t
MARK: Well, I will. . .
But we have to make sure
your stories are in sync
before we go to trial

SKI: Well, I’d better leave

[ Mark looks up, but Ski just
walks out of the room. . . ]

[ The night shift is starting at
TA. . .Ski and Larrie
are stocking already when
Weis comes in ]

WEIS: Ski, can we talk?

[ turns around ] SKI: No, I’m not
suppose to talk to
you

WEIS: I just wanted you to
know, I’m sorry
I had no idea my Mom
would do that. . .[ walks off ]



[ Weis joins Joh whose sitting in
the break room, Airynn and Markis
are looking at the announcement
board ]

AIRYNN: Isn’t that at Mark’s place?
MARKIS: Yeah, whoever works
during the party gets double paid
AIRYNN: Cool, I’m in. . .
MARKIS: Fuck yeah, we’ll be
the only ones here

[ They walk out and Weis
gets up
shutting the door. . . ]

WEIS: You know what?
I’m gonna go to the
party tomorrow night

JOH: Are you out of what
is left of your mind, dude?

WEIS: No, think about it!
It’s a costume party, I’ll wear a mask
and if anyone ask. . .
I’ll just tell them I’m
you
JOH: Are you sure about this?

WEIS: Look, I really messed up
and I have to figure out some way
to make it right
