SCENE 1:
Outside, near LeeVigh & Joh’s
apartment.
[ They are walking to the gas
station. ]
JOH: Dude, it’s freezing. I
can’t believe you wanted
to walk.
LEEVIGH: Chill, literally. It’s
two blocks, man.
[ They both laugh. ]
JOH: Anyway, tell me more
about that hot girl at work.
LEEVIGH: What’s to say except
she could have got me fired.
JOH: Really, what happened?
LEEVIGH: The boss caught her
kissing me, but then she lied
and said I was her boyfriend.
JOH: Sweet, that doesn’t
sound like a problem to
me.
LEEVIGH: Well, it is.
That’s
not the way I want to move
up in the company.
JOH: By being someone’s leash?
LEEVIGH: Exactly.
Maybe I should
just withdraw.
[ They arrive at the gas station,
not noticing a guy staring at Joh
while looking at his phone. ]
SCENE 2:
At Mark & Ski’s place.
[ Larrie, Weis, & Ski are
sitting in the living room. ]
LARRIE: So where did Mark
and Ace head off to?
[ He mouths through a gulp
of beer. ]
SKI: They’re going to the casino
in Maison City.
LARRIE: Ah, I’ve been there once
but I’ve never won anything.
SKI: Right, me either.
Mark does
every time. I
don’t understand it.
[ He sits his beer down as Chais
comes downstairs. ]
CHAIS: Um, hello drunkee. You are
suppose to be taking me to drive
tonight.
SKI: Oh yeah, I’ll do it tomorrow.
Sorry man.
[ Chais rolls his eyes at him. ]
WEIS: I’m not drinking. I’ll do it.
SKI: You sure?
In your new car.
WEIS: Why not.
How bad can he
be? Let’s go,
little dude.
SCENE 3:
Acer & Mark are on the road
to Maison City.
ACE: Well, I agree with Hahn
sorry man.
MARK: It’s cool.
I know I need
to be careful.
I just can’t help
it.
I wanna be with Ski for the rest
of my life but. . .
ACE: But you have needs?
MARK: Exactly.
ACE: Well, not to get too personal.
Maybe you should try switching
things up in the bedroom.
You know, taking turns.
MARK: I get it.
I’ll talk to Ski.
Anyway, I’m so ready to get
wild tonight!
Meanwhile, back at home.
WEIS: Just take it easy, dude.
The roads are kind of slick.
CHAIS: Yeah, yeah. I know
what I’m doing.
[ Chais is messing with the radio. ]
WEIS: Now you’ll want to slow
down sooner at this stop light
because of the ice.
[ Chais isn’t paying attention through
the loud music.
Hitting the brakes
at the last minute, they start to
slide & he swerves right into a
mailbox. ]
WEIS: Oh my god.
SCENE 4:
[ LeeVigh & Joh are walking
out of the gas station when
a man approaches them. ]
LEEVIGH: Uh, hello.
Do we
know you?
[ Suddenly the man pulls out
his phone & shows them a
picture of Joh on a registered
offender application.
Joh’s mouth drops. ]
STRANGER: Nope, but maybe
I should. How
do they let
freaks like him roam the
streets?
[ Joh starts to walk toward
the guy but LeeVigh gets
in front of him. ]
LEEVIGH: You
have no idea
what you’re talking about.
STRANGER: I think I understand
very well.
LEEVIGH: Well, you don’t.
[ The guy raises his arm but
LeeVigh catches him off guard
knocking him to his feet. ]
LEEVIGH: Back off okay.
[ The man lays there as they
walk away. ]
SCENE 5:
[ At the casino in Maison City. ]
ACE: Ready to play?
[ Mark stays silent. ]
ACE: What are you staring at?
MARK: Lacey.
ACE: I know, we’ve talked about
her the entire car ride. Let it go,
man.
[ He starts to laugh. ]
MARK: No, she right there.
ACE: That’s her, wow.
MARK: I know, I’ll be right
back.
ACE: Wait, I don’t think you
should go over there.
[ Mark approaches Lacey. ]
MARK: Hey, what a coincidence.
LACEY: Oh hey, Mark.
This is my
friend, Anna.
MARK: Nice to meet you.
So, what do we have going
on tonight ladies?
[ He smiles at Lacey. ]
SCENE 6:
[ LeeVigh is back at home
calling his team lead. ]
LEEVIGH: Come on, pick up.
TESSA: Hello?
LEEVIGH: Hey Tessa, we need
to talk.
TESSA: I’m glad you called. I
have some news for you too.
LEEVIGH: Cool, let me go first
though.
I need to tell you that I’m
withdrawing from the position.
TESSA: What? I thought this is
what you wanted.
LEEVIGH: I did, but not in this way.
TESSA: What do you mean? I’m
sorry about the other day. I got
a little carried away.
LEEVIGH: If I
get promoted, it should
be about my work not because of you.
TESSA: Well, I’m sorry you feel that
way because you already got the
job.
LEEVIGH: What?
SCENE 7:
The next morning.
[ Ace gets out of bed & notices
Mark is not in the room when
suddenly the room door comes
open. ]
ACE: Where have you been man?
What happened last night?
[ Mark looks down, sits on his bed
& doesn’t speak. ]
ACE: I have a hangover from hell.
[ Ace looks in the mini fridge for
some water. ]
ACE: Let’s go get breakfast.
MARK: Sure, just let me shower
first. Alright?
[ Ace looks at Mark for the first
time. ]
ACE: Okay, why is your shirt
in your hand?
Tell me you did not.
MARK: Lacey kissed me.
ACE: And?
MARK: Then we made out.
What am I gonna tell Ski?
